Title: [ebay BE] Deditacted Guerilla War
Post by: DarthNuno on February 17, 2010, 06:32:54 PM
A Dedicated Guerilla War cabinet for sale on ebay Belgium

The cosmetic condition of this cab' seems very good, well at least the front of it  ::)
Side arts are missing but the panel is not damaged and includes the original setup (rotary sticks)
Of course, more pictures are needed in order to set the price.
It has been modified for a 60in1 but maybe the original hardware is still inside?

Price is 500€ now, which is a little bit expensive IMHO, but ... as always regarding the price... if this one is in your 'I WANT TO DIE FOR THIS' list  ;D I've never seen one for sale in the area...

Does Guerilla War is the other name for 'Ikari Warriors' or just a sequel of it by the way?

puh, 500 bucks for a game with no sideart and a 60-in-1 inside is imho way too cheap - i've written him an email  ;). whereelse is the game on sale?

btw, this IS the sequel to ikari warriors!

You should writhe to KLOV and say that!

You should be able to get original un-applied GW sideart still, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I thought Ikari 2 and 3 were the sequels as GW is an SNK game? Anyway it doesn't matter as IW1 and GW are both great games.

Someone should knock the seller down to 200 without the 60-1 pcb, or 250 with the 60-1 pcb.

The game cabinet is obviously still JAMMA so you can put the proper pcb in easily, and it has the original rotary sticks still.

Whoever gets this I have a Guerilla War pcb, i'll sell it to the new owner :-)

cool cabinet, a bit expensive though.

Ikari Warriors was also SNK and was the first in its series. SNK also fielded an Ikari Warriors clone in 1987 called Guerrilla War (arcade game) (Guevara in Japan). Then after that, came Ikari Warriors 3

do be honest, if he's asking 500 euros for it, i'm afraid my offer is too low, but we'll see. i told him he could keep the 60-in-1  ;)

The shape of that cab' is not exactly the same than the US model you can see this flyer :

...so maybe it's an European model? That would maybe explain why there's no sideart? It would be interesting to have a picture of the SN number/manufacturer details plate... ::)

I believe there was a "conversion kit" available for Guerrilla War, maybe that conversion kit was applied to this unknown cab? ???

Guerrilla War is the same style as Ikari but it's not from the same series. The Ikari series consists of following 3 games:
-Ikari Warriors
-Victory Road
-Ikari 3: The Rescue

I can tell you the game is really good though, I speak from personal experience ;D The rotary joysticks really add an extra dimension to the game.

@petieken: weren't you looking for a guerrilla wars cab?

@bruno: well spotted with the different cab style!

just got word from the seller, he would be willing to sell it to me for 200 euros with the original guerrilla pcb (and without the 60-in-1). i've written back asking about the origin of the cabinet and whether it was just a conversion kit thrown into a spare cabinet. let's see what his answer is!

@petieken: would it be interesting for you for that price?

I can't remember - I would not imagine this is a real issue though seeing NOS artwork should be easily available.

Did anybody buy this cabinet?

nope, i didn't, although i could have it for 200 euros. i'm somewhat torn because i have the chance of getting an original ikari warriors (american style WITH sideart) and i'd prefer that over the guerrilla war of course. however, i'm not sure whether the deal is going to work yet!

Thanks. Is the sideart for this one availible? The art that I found was for the US version.
