To repair my friends' T2 cab, I need some RAM chips. I already contacted 'The Real Bob Roberts', but he has none in stock.
I need following chips:
CXK5864BSP-70L (sony)
HM53461P-10 & -12 (hitachi)
If anyone knows a good source where to get these please let me know. Also if you have a cross reference table and know a substitute for any type let me know too please.

Contact Andreas from www.andysarcade.de
Or:
www.arcadechips.com
www.arcadecomponents.com
Check with the last two how active they are (mail) there have been some "pauzes" in operation of both in the past.

Thanks! I'll contact them right now.

Another one http://www.coinopchips.com/ (http://www.coinopchips.com/)
Also check eBay. There are vendors on there who sell obsolete/rare components. The prices vary wildly from very cheap to "I know this is rare so show me the money" but good deals can be made.

Are you registered at KLOV forum ? You could ask there too, and also ask what (if) equivalents there are that could be used instead. Very often, RAMs have different numbers but can be interchanged. It's not brand specific mostly.
This could also save you some money.
Also, are the RAMs socketed ? Try switching over the two bad one's with two that test good and watch the results. If the problem moves with the chip, it's a bad chip. If not, you have another problem....

Unfortunately no ram chips are socketed :(

Try email Andy at www.andys-arcade.net also - he has alot of stock not on his site.

In the meantime I have found both speeds of the 53461.
I only need to find the CXK5864 anymore now...

I checked andys arcade website again and he has CXK5971 in stock, I compared the datasheets and everything is the same as CXK5864 except the address lines, the numbering is different and there is an extra address line (8192 word * 8-bit vs 8192 word * 9-bit), and they have only 35ns delay. So these could/should work, for £0.75 I'll take the chance and try them out. :)
