I might be interested in one. Do you ship to the US? And  how much would it be? :D

You know that these are Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments, right?

They may still have them in the back at your local store.  ;)

There were lots left over this year due to the economy. (at our store, but now gone)

I also mentioned these ornaments in this topic:  ;D

Arcade Lifestyle / Re: What do you think of Candy Cabs??
« on: February 03, 2009, 11:02:04 PM »
Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anybody else but me on this board is into "Candy Cabs". I know, I know, most of the users here are more retro and into old woodies but what do you think about the "newer" universal Candys like the 'SNK Super Neo 29' or 'SEGA Astro City'. I really like them because the look so clean and... well... they really like hard candy...  ;D ;D
Okay, it may be because of my age (I'm only 24 years old, I think this will make me one of the youngest users here) why I like these cabs from the 90s, or maybe because I used to play alot of SNK games in the Italian Arcades when I was a little boy...

Of course I also like the real Retros like Pac-Man :pac: or Donkey Kong...

So, tell me what you think! I always thought the candy cabs were neat looking. Especially Sega's Astro's and Naomi cabs. Also don't feel bad I'll be 23 in a few months

No problem looking good man!! You guys are so lucky you have TV's with RGB output. I've been using one of my bigger CRT's (32" I believe) with component input from my PC and MAME looks great on it! Sorry off topic :(

I managed to get a 27" TV inside the cabinet with the help of my dad. We had to cut 90% of the plastic casing though it fitted in perfect with some readjusting of the wood the monitor sits on. I'll get some new pictures up soon! :)

Pictures are now online  ;)

Great job on this  :)

Now, the next step would be to fix the 'inside' of the side, here

...and after, maybe apply an overlay on the panel or paint it ?  8)

Thanks for the kind comments and for hosting my pictures DarthNuno :D

Yea my next step will be to fix the inside sides good eye :P In the future I may decide to get a cool overlay for my control panel and maybe have a piece of plexi made for it. I know the right joystick is pushed slightly back but I think for my first built panel it turned out pretty good. I had my dad help because I'm no good with woodworking :( I'm going to have a new marquee made for it too. The one I'm using now was made for another cabinet we built and sence tore down

Here's some updated pictures. I took the guys out of the X-arcade and had my dad help make a control panel and put them in there till my new sticks arrive. For right now I'm getting some Happ Ultimate sticks i think that's what it was. But in the future I will upgrade to those Sanwa sticks. We have been working hard off and on on this so it's not the best but I'm proud of it :D

It's a mess :P

Motherboard mounted

New control panel (thanks for the idea of creating my own DarthNuno :D)

Thanks guys! I bookmarked the site. Is shipping time pretty good? I've ordered things from Hong Kong and Japan (eBay) before and the shipping was great! I know two of the places were Tokyo and Kyoto.
