I was just listening to Veronica FM (RADIO) and an add passed by saying: Veronica, 80's music blabla, back then we played PacMan,
now you can win an original PACMAN arcade cab, by submitting a highscore at Rob van Soomeren DJ broadcast between 1600-1900hrs.
check the site: http://www.radioveronica.nl/ although there is nothing about the PacMan contest yet..

I think we should check it out though.

I didnt even notice that. I was hoping for some kind of anniversary cab, you know the 25 year celebration cab :-\

the winner was a guy called COR who said he learned the patterns of the game

his highscore was 32000 something. Not that much I guess.

there were 4 or 5 contestors in the studio

I almost never play Pac Man, always Ms.Pac....

Just fired it up under Mame. Played 3 games and scored 24890....that's with the (tiny) arrow keys on my wireless Mac keyboard....

What I do like is that the "experienced" guy won... ;D ;D ;D

and again this year at the Veronica's top eighties 880, there's another PacMan contest with good old Adje Visser en Han Peekel.

today at 16:00 they have the Dutch championships of PacMan live on the radio.
