Thanks to Bela (aka Belike), here's the pictures of an interesting Dragon's Lair *custom cabinet* he discovered in Italy, located inside the arcade of Mirabilandia, the amusement park of Ravenna

Regarding the pictures, that cabinet uses Daphne emulator (because of the overlay score display) and not the Ultracade Dragon's Lair 20th anniversary board where the fonts are different...
Anyway, even if it's far from the original cabinet, I like the 'big size' display that must attract people for sure ;)
The operator responsible for that arcade must be a Dragon's Lair fan for sure, regarding the number of artworks used everywhere on that 'megalo' style monster cabinet :P Maybe one of our Italian members here know the responsible for that ::)
Happy to see Dirk & Daphne are still alive in the Arcade in 2011 :-*

I like it, is that a 28" monitor ....?
-
There was also the manufacturer's metal plate on the back of the cp (could be seen on last pic), but I forgot to take a pic from it. :-\

Wow!!! That is an awesome cabinet!! Nice job

Dragon's Lair..... Great in ANY cabinet! ;D
-
Wow, that's
HUUUUGE !
... it's the opposite of the modern trend that "tells" to build up small / slim cabinet(s) :)
Of course my matter is different: I have to carry this item ;)

Ja, lord ;D !
"crap": hehe, unfortunately I haven't so much money, space and e-skills to acquire, store and fix original stuff, pretending to be a collector... so my way is computer(s) + emulator(s) thrown inside self-builded cabinets !
-
I think you did a nice job !

Hi Etienne, and thank you :) !
But I'm not too smart even with woodworks (mainly because I don't have a full set of woodwork machine equipment) , while you are great with 8) !
Let's tell it in the way Seth Brundle (The Fly, D.Cronenberg, 1986) told how he assembled the teleport pods...
"I'm just a system manager. I tell them how to build (things) for me, then I "mix" those things all together !"
:D

Thats the reason why i don't really like message boards ..
Your cab is well done ! A great work .. I hope this "sounds" better !

Howdy, Bruno... been a long time :) !
This is just a "sortie", but I always think to be more present here, so: sorry for my "long-time-off" from your site...
Matt, the "chief" of the Daphne team seems involved in another project, more "profitable" than making emulations for us, poor people :) ...
Well, this project is called "Dexter" [http://laserdisc-replacement.com/ (http://laserdisc-replacement.com/)] and every LaserDiscGame collector could think about it as a "replace" of his rotted discs... ;)
About little cabs
Months ago I talked with Matt about my idea of an *OFFICIAL* Daphne Portable Cabinet...
Not that he showed me his enthusiasm, but I scored a little bit more interest from the other members... ;)
I am still developing the drawings (again my SO LITTLE spare time...) and it's at a good point.
Of course I'll send you some pics when it'll be almost-ready !
For now, let's see what Daphne+Singe REALLY give to all of us...

[Huge thanks to the new Daphne developers !!! :spaceace:]
[note: the games are shown from my Monolith Multi-Arcade Emulator cabinet, and they're all Daphne/Singe emulated, except of FireFox and Cube Quest !
MORE ARE COMING... ;) !]

Another nice generic cabinet on the Dragon's Lair theme :-*
