So what parts are still missing? Marquee, side art, cpo, wiring harness and power supply?

You better make sure we can play this at Eurocade2012!  ;D ;) ;)

Uh....LOL   !!!!    It is a nice, working German built WEGA (when WEGA wasn't owned by Sony yet) B/W TV.
Of course, as every TV, it is a raster device.
But...as you know....a tube is a tube. And a B/W tube with no burn in with the right size is a nice candidate for transplantation !

I must say it is going to hurt me a bit to do it on this TV. I mean have a good look at the design.....it looks very tight for a 70's TV right ? I mean, most TV's used bulky dials and had woodgrain exterior. I bet this was a design TV in those days.

As a matter of fact.....the white, the minimal design..........does it remind you of something ? Mmmm--mmm yep. It reminds you of a Mac....well at least it did to me....and then I checked this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WEGA

...and read that the designer at WEGA was Hartmut Esslinger and when we check out this guy on Wikipedia it turns out that he was the man behind the tight white design of the first Macs and Apple Iic....man....that I recognized that design style ! :)

Now isn't that a nice story ;)

Anyway....it took me a LOT of searching to find a 48cm. (19") working B/W TV and I scored it in Germany where it will be picked up soon by a good friend :)
B/W TVs being offered on places like Marktplaats usually are either small portable one's or very large one's...

@Gyruss:

Missing parts in that I still have to order (or become available to order) ?
Dokert has already made the CP harnesses. He will be doing the full harness later and I asked him to ship them together.
I will need a cardboard bezel but should be possible to make it myself.
Also the wooden support for the mission lights and either make a PCB with those lights or fork up the 110 bux for the repro one...
Also need is a marquee and (maybe later) side art...
That's it, the rest is here, o I do have to check if I still have enough cones and buttons for the CP. And of course I need the CPO....

In theory everything is possible....with a little help from my friends ;) ;)

Things still to arrive at my home are the Power Brick (which I foolishly forgot at Chris's) and the AR-1 board which was hopefully picked up by Franck in Paris....that one somehow still has to enter the EADS system ;)

Well, I happen to have this one:

I gave it a good clean job today and I must say that it is in excellent condition, not NOS but very great (the white glinstering is the reflection of the lights above the table) and original of course. I got it together with some other classic marquees and I´m planning to use them as decoration in my gameroom.  :)

But I actually think that this particular one will look much nicer in a cab!  :D

So André, if you want it, it´s yours, a donation for your project.  ;D

You have to do one thing though, just mention here out loud that Japanese Candy cabs are not that bad after all and that you can understand it and appreciate it that people love them and that they keep the Japanese Arcade spirit alive.

I know, it´s a hard thing to do, but the reward is this:

I'm sorry, I do have my principles..........

But I have no trouble at all shouting here that Japanese Candy cabs are not that bad after all and I can understand it and appreciate it that people love them and that they keep the Japanese Arcade spirit alive
