Thanks Ully !
Although i disagree with you , i cannot imagine that you with your woodworking skills cannot pull something like this off.

anyway, i continue..
Glued the monitor area in place..

Just put an extra clamp in there my little helper  8)

Because it is getting more difficult, i called in a pro  ;D
That bob the builder clothes that he is wearing is a sign of professionality   :-*

After some sawing i got the front plate and backplate ready..

Lets see how it looks on the cab..
hmm it falls off every time i want to take a pic.

take this dad ! clamp it and shoot that pic !  :)

ok ok ok... i will do as told   ::)

The space is smaller than i expected, but still big enough to accept bills and coins i think..

If it turns out to be too narrow, i'll create an extra slot for bills in the coindoor  :P

It was a nice weather, but now it started to rain, and also i have more to do today than only this, so thats it for today guys ..

Great pics. Isn't it fun when your kid wants to help ? Mine keeps asking if I need to do any soldering work for the cabs again, because he wants to do it :)

Those Bob the Builder cloths are great....it also made me realize how fast time goes, because Mark is already way too old for Bob....he used to love him though :)

trust me, etienne, my woodworking skills aren't that good. all i do on my cabs is use wood filler and sand it down later :P

honestly, i don't think i could pull off a scratch-built cabinet!

btw, thanks for those great pictures, your little helper seems to have a lot of fun with this project. :spaceace:

On that picture, the space seems even big enough for a gold bar!  :o ;D

Lets see whats on the menu today..

I need to prepare the lower backpanel before i glue it.
The original door has also this kind of construction, so ofcourse i replicate that  ;D
We do that with this machine...  (dont know the name in english )

And as i expected, a nice clean cut  :-*

Glued the bottom, rear and frontpanel in place, and clamped it up.

Now again the boring part..
Waiting for the glue to dry   :D

later more guys ...

Last friday i was at my customer who also like what i am doing, and he offered me to use theyre A3 Laminate machine..

Time to create some Sidearts !

Not very fast, but it does the trick!

Good, back on the woodwork.
Yesterday i was a little too enthausiast with the glue..

Inside is even worse  :o

Thats where my new friend comes in   :D

I went to the local DIY shop and bought a pin that is normal for a wheel to mount under a closet or something, and i think it will do nice as a repro joystick, since the original is also "pin style"  8)

also i needed leg levellers, thats where i will use the bolts for, and i found also in my local DIY store the bushes with threats..

Holes marked..  ::)

I tried to screw one of the threath thingies inside, but i did not manage to get it in straight, so i grabbed my threat maker..

I know its for steel, but it works in wood too ..  :P

Leg levellers in place..

In detail..

It works, the cab is standing on his feet !  :spaceace:

After that i created two more pieces of wood with angles, which are a pain in the ass to make

Glued everything together and its again time to wait untill the glue is dry...

And again like before....  Later more  8)

looking great, would love to see you build a full seize one!

And could you zaccaria guys please tell me what the deal with zaccaria side art? It all looks very spacey, what was the inspiration behind it?

LSD?  ;) ;D I'm not saying i don't like it, it's just very different from what was out there at the time.

Shouldn't the monitor be almost horizontal?

There is nothing in between the front glass and the back door of the cab except the curved monitor surround backdrop, at least on the full-size curve-marque version of the cab. I have a picture of the cab with the surround removed I'll upload later.

I've got some pictures of the Money Money marque and brought the MM control panel back home with me to disassemble and scan in.

It turns out my Money Money has a Jackrabbit instruction sheet in it, so I don't have a good picture of one of those.

Your cab is coming along great! We'll all be asking for one too :)

Paul.

i like the level of detail you are putting into this, etienne. leg levelers and joystick are totally cool.

however, that glue looks extremely nasty, it reminds me of ... ieehhhhhhhh!  :P

Yes it does, but then i dont have a "path" where the coins can slide down  ;D

I have a empty shell here where i took the measurements from, so no need for a pic, but thanks anyway !

Yep , it is nasty, once on the hands, and you have it there for about a week  :D
but its extremely strong !

quote from theyre site :
"Specifically for bonding and repairing (wood) structures and connections that meet stringent requirements."

i can confirm !  ::)

sounds good, but is it so much better than the standard wood glue i'm using?

Because i dont use any other supports like nails, i want this to be strong;
I mean alll those millions that will enter there weights a ton  ;D

that is only for wood, this is also for other materials:

Hoogwaardige, watervaste en vullende polyurethaan houtlijm voor binnen en buiten (D4-norm).
Toepassingsgebied:
Voor het lijmen van vrijwel alle houtsoorten, onderling en op formica, metaal, steen, beton en diverse kunststoffen. Speciaal voor het lijmen en repareren van (hout)constructies en verbindingen waaraan hoge eisen worden gesteld.

translated:

High quality, waterproof polyurethane glue and filling for indoor and outdoor (D4 standard).
 scope:
For bonding of virtually all species of wood, individual together and/or on Formica, metal, stone, concrete and plastics. Specifically for bonding and repairing (wood) structures and connections that meet stringent requirements.

I have tested its strength by trying to rip the pieces apart, and its almost like welding, it breaks not on the glue, but the wood under/near it ! :o
