Title: [Wanted] Spicy Sauces from Belgium
Post by: Superully on January 09, 2011, 04:55:05 PM
totally arcade-unrelated, but who cares? ;)

i was so impressed by the samurai sauce which colin got for me during my gun fight roadtrip that i would like to have more - much more. i haven't been able to find a shop in germany which carries those sauces and if you buy them online you pay 8 euros a piece (plus postage of course). so i was wondering whether one of the belgian forum guys could pick up a couple of sauces for me from the same manufacturer. i'd like to try different sauces as well this time, so here's what i'd be aiming for:

(http://www.dl.be/itemfiles/300/202-new_fr_Americaine_groot.png)(http://www.dl.be/itemfiles/2000/1935-new_fr_Samourai_groot.png)(http://www.dl.be/itemfiles/2000/1941-Andalouse_hot.png)

so if you're from belgium, if those sauces are available locally and if you're willing to pick them up for me and send them over, shoot me a message and we'll talk quantities :). of course i'm going to pay you for your troubles, just let me know how much you get!

I will do that of course.
...and you can use most of them as rust remover too (for the legs of your RALLY for instance).

I think they sell some type of sample pack with all of them together too.

It only includes:
Steak&Grill, Béarnaise, Spécial, Tartare, Curry en Samourai.

Ully you should really try this one:

No it was a bunch of spicy ones with a big "hot" on it. I can't say I pay much attention to these things as I don't buy them though, so I may have seen it 5 years ago :)

I don't think they sell these anymore then.
At least not at 'Carrefour', I work there at the registeren and haven't seen any multipacks beside that.

I want sauce from Belgium too :). I only need Belgium mayonnaise..... Dutch mayonnaise stinks (literally and figuratively). WHO PUTS SUGAR IN MAYONNAISE!!!! Or even worse: FRIETSAUS. That is mayonnaise with some soy-implants, 40% water and diesel-processing leftovers from Shell.
Who can ship me some good mustard-containing non sugared mayonnaise?

Albert Heijn?  ;D

Seriously, you can buy Belgian D&L (Devos Lemmens) mayonnaise in quite a few supermarkets in Holland, I even saw it at Xenos a few weeks ago. I always buy it since the Dutch "mayonnaise" is indeed something horrible.

samura and andalouse are real belgian plaesures.
I thought vandemoortele was responsible of the samurai sauce (because the one available here are usually under this brand)

for mayonnaise, as for mustard, I would always prefer the one from the origin town : dijon.
my favorite are Maille brand. http://www.maille.com/les-produits.php (http://www.maille.com/les-produits.php)

the mustard is really strong, especially when the pot is brand new open.
a delight that comes up to your nose quickly !

The best of the best for ANY one of us in Belgium is this one : La William (website here (http://www.lawilliamprofessional.be/fr/specialesauzen.html))

Unfortunately, most of them are NOT available in small amount, because it's supposed to be sold only to professional... but I can tell you it's the best of the best!

Must try : Americaine, Andalouse & Samuraï / Banzaï  :-* :-* :-*

BBQ, gourmet, chicken, fish EVERYTHING tastes brilliant with this:

It's my favorite forever !

Definitely not spicy though. I hate DL's garlic sauce though....

That's exactly what I said when we talked about sauces in an other post (https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=2143.msg25131#msg25131)!
Anyway I was planning to include both versions (D&L + La William) for Ully so that he can compare!
You can find La William in small cans @ Colruyt in Belgium.

After Jupiler making our favourite yellow friend look like a pizza, La Williams sauce (product of the year 2011 ::)) is now using Pac-Man as a giant meat ball (http://www.toutpourmafriterie.be)...  :pac: :pac: :pac:
I'm sure they got the idea after reading this thread.
Anyway, that's just another proof that Belgium is definitely the land of good taste...

I'm offering my services to Namco to track down all these copyright violations for them (for a small percentage of course).

I'm sure I could make a pretty comfortable living out of it...

Nectil, the CMS we're using at work has a little Pac-Man ghost in it's lower right corner (clicking it makes the toolbar resizeable).
