Arcade Lifestyle / R.I.P. Heiko "Brendelino"
« on: October 30, 2017, 02:37:06 PM »
I have some sad news for some of you.

Recently Dirk called to tell me that Heiko Brendel, a good friend of us, passed away at the age of only 43.

Some of you might remember his nickname in the german arcade scene, Brendelino. He always came when we invited for a Daddelparty.

I was shocked, because Heiko was a really really nice guy and I remember some entertaining conversations and beers with him. He worked as a bartender in a bar in Frankfurt, where some VIPs showed up eventually. Rock-and Pop-Stars, actors, etc. I always loved when he talked about them anbd his work or when he brought his collection of handhelds etc. He always brought some stuff to show others.

So after a few days to think about it I decided to tell the arcade world that he has left us forever.
I will honor his memory and I will miss him sadly on future parties  :'(

Rest in peace, Heiko. I would love to say we will meet again some day, but I don't believe in things like that.

I added some pictures so maybe you guys who attended our parties will recognize and remember him.

Enjoy your life, guys, it could be over tomorrow!

To be honest, this is not what I would like to do. Getting called in the late evening and someone yelling into my ears "two of the three machines you put here stopped working" is not a dream but a nightmare!  ;D ;)

Good luck with your business, crossing fingers you don't get such calls!! :)

Hello guys,

Here a short response from me.

I'am Kick and i'am 15 years old.
We have to deal with an adult named Enrico, who is very jalous that he never can make such deals.
When i bought the PAC-MAN for €1100 euro's i payed him cash and the PacMan was mine.
Nobody can tell me how to handel further.
It's a shame that Enrico use this platform for his bad behavior.

Shame on you! Enrico's a smart and gentle guy, he could have sold it for much more money. He was doing you a favour.

The word will spread. I'm pretty sure that you will make no more deals like this. So enjoy the money.

In your arcade? Do you invite guests?  ;D

Andreas, didn't you say you want to stay away from girls?  ;)

Wienerwald was very popular in Germany when I was young. They had chicken, fries and that sort of food. There was one in Neustadt and they had two cabs in their entrance. I think one of the games (at least for a time period) was Pengo. Dirk and I used to go there (besides other fast food restaurants and the Karstadt entrance) after school  ::)
