Buy a Fluke :)

Can't emphasize on that - my Fluke 117 DMM is sub-par in terms of quality, considering it's price. The continuity buzzer died after a few months, and I am on my second set of test leads, as the original ones seem to start cracking due to cheap plastic used.

Btw., sorry for going off-topic - can't help with the resistor values ;)

Hah, I still have the Fluke that I got from my work almost ten years still and i wouldnt trade it for the world. I have dropped it at least a dozen of times, sometimes from 2 meters height....still not a single issue with it.

I use it almost every single day at least a few times and also for the hobby.

At every technical job I've had so far I got a Fluke and I never had them replaced before I left those jobs, none of theselasted shorter than 4 years......it's the industry standard and for a reason.

Of course it's not impossible that that some might have an issues but if it happens within motnths it's a warranty thing.

I'm really surprised you have leads problems, are you sure they are the original ones ? Same there.....still on my first set.
