Title: Help me ID this cab, please
Post by: nilfisk on February 26, 2014, 07:52:04 PM
Hi,

I have a cocktail cab that I stored at my parent's place probably 10 or more years ago. It came with a Xevious PCB (working, but obviously converted, as it was wired to the local TAB/Vienna standard). No manufacturer logo, no license plate.

I've always wondered what game it came with originally, if at all, so here's my request for help: can anyone ID this cab?

Please excuse the lousy photo, I just had 5 minutes visiting my parents today and took the chance.

Martin

Yep, TAITO, pre-1982, was my thought as well (they seem to have changed the CP style on cocktails starting somewhen around 82). But scanning sources like arcadeflyers.com has been without results so far.

Maybe our japanese members can read something out from the cp. ;)

It seems the control panel has no "Game name" on it.

I can identify:

Player 1            Control

Player 2            xxxxx (assuming move base or something)               Fire Button     Fire Button

from that - any game is possible :)

At least a 1 Fire button game.
Is this a 2 or 4 way joystick?

Hi,

Thanks for the translations! It's a 4 way joystick, and the buttons are not redundant, but rather serve as button 1 and button 2 (so two button games, like Xevious, are possible).
