The come back of mechanical games in arcade?
« on: October 09, 2011, 02:15:12 PM »
Tired of new video games in arcade? Racing games, fighting games, shooting games ..always the same concept but just with better graphics?
Maybe because video games in the Arcades don't impress anyone today, next gen consoles can do the same at home, we need something else  ::)
No more virtual stuff, we need real objects in a real world  ;D

Here's the Robo Restle by Robotic Amusements/Namco America

Check out this video.

Or what about this one :

Go Go Grand Prix F1 Video Arcade Game Racing Center From BMI Gaming, Namco Bandai and Gamewax

Check out this video.

Note that these 'mechanical' games use also modern video display... the best of both world?

guys, I'm really exited to test such games! ...at last something 'new'? ::) :P  ;D

That racing game rocks, as I remember, there was a similar type without video display.

Yes, definitely not a new concept, but fun still. I think the track is pretty boring though, completely flat ! The original had a much more complicated and elevated track:

The robot fight looks nice !

No, but I know where it lives and the seller is really cool  ;).
Everytimes I see this picture I'm hesitating.
Again, like with the EM games and kiddy rides, basket ball games and stuff, I was and still am super tempted...
...but I should focus on my classic arcade collecting mission, I'll do the rest in another life.

He's hesitating about selling some stuff or not, asking costs nothing  ;).
