update: i've found some shops that carry it, but either they are restricted to industries / firms or the cans are a couple of euros more expensive than yours. so if your test turns out the way i hope it does, i guess i'll go with a delivery from the netherlands  do you know how much a small package to germany costs? i don't need insurance, so it shouldn't be too much!

I found the perfect test-surface: The inner part of my Star Wars Control Panel 

Needs a bit of black paint, it has rusty spots, and it is _no_ problem if it turns out "wrong" or "bad"

I'll have some time hopefully tomorrow or saturday.

Now, I have to go back to fixing my son's Nintendo DS lite.....I tell you, give me a Nintendo cab any day over these tiny things !

ive done a few coin doors and just used hammerite black (hammered effect)

looked identical allthough im a top sprayer

The metal parts are like that because they have been TEXTURE POWDER COATED and not painted.

Check local paint shops that can also powder coat. Getting a complete door done should be no more than 15-20E.
