Thought I would share my gaming collection for home consoles, computers, and handhelds with the group.
These are old pictures but the only thing that has changed is I have added more and it looks clustered, so these pictures look better.

working on it, I want an atari 800xl and an atari xe.
-
Excellent choices sir. For the XE may I suggest the XEGS ? IMHO the coolest of the XE series with it's separated keyboard and awesome design :)
But seriously.......very impressive collection !!!! :spaceace:
-
Pretty cool, do you have any Vectrex stuff?
-
Thanks Level42! and Q*ris!
I'll look into the XEGS for sure, I do not have any vectrex stuff yet been hunting for some :)

bought this on christmas eve and it just got here yesterday.
FM Towns Marty, listed as broken. Got it for $122.50+$67 shipping
(http://wizardsarcade.com/Media/Images/Hauls/2016-01-19/FM-Towns-Marty-01.jpg)
Opened it up and found the door sensor broken.
Taped the sensor down and it read a audio cd, later tested free software collection vol2, splatterhouse, and muscle bomber all loaded fine.

tested a floppy diskette and it sounded really loud, removed the drive and found broken belt. WIll be replacing that next.

Now to find a controller
-
What in gods name is this?
I just googled it, first 32 Bit home console, interesting. But my first thought was: what the hell, over 100 bucks for a broken unit? Wow!
Congrats with the purchase!
-
thanks Andreas_AUT! yeah it is a oddball system based on a 386/486 computer from Japan. Broken systems go upto $360ish and working are usually 500+
-
Cool stuff, never heard of these before. :D
Seems like they released tons of games for this system:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_FM_Towns_games
I spotted Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders, that one rocks! ;D
-
never played it but it is on my list of games to play once I get my controller :)
-
The Splatterhouse version on the FM Towns is really good!
A friend of mine collects obscure japanese computers. I played it at his place. He made a website with some information about the systems, but it is in german: http://japan-retro.de/
-
Nice stuff, but don't tell me that you are using a lcd screen for the retro consoles! Or is the 15K CRT monitor hidden somewhere?

That is what I have heard, I plan to test that! Supposed to be the best home port of the game. I will check the site out using google translate

I have a Samsung CRT next to the console cabinet, but I do use a LCD mainly with a XRGB Mini Frameister

Very nice collection!
That's a huge amount of spare consoles though!
Saving them up to build a throne out of them or what? 8)
-
Nope, I am planing on doing the repairs and trading them to fill spaces on stuff I am missing :)
