Arcade Lifestyle / 9lc compiler for Fluke 9010 ported to x64 Windows
« on: January 15, 2021, 11:50:46 AM »
Hello all,

I know several people here have a fuke9010a. I got mine and pods thanks to this forum (thanks Andre & Andy), so this might come useful

I embedded the 9lc compiler in a dosbox executable , so you can run it on an 64bits windows. Just copy the new 9lc.exe files downloaded in your Fide/internals folder with the others dll. I'll post the sources on my github  , i used the same code than i used for SNASM68K. (https://github.com/pascalorama/snasm68kdb). cheers

Technical Area / Charles's McDonald pal dumper pcb design
« on: August 08, 2017, 01:12:20 PM »
Hello all,

Long times ago , one of my Sega Touring Car driver boards died. I tracked the problem to a secured PAL which didn’t work anymore. At that time, i sent a working PAL to Caius for dumping and he delivered !! (thanks again!!). And, i was able to resurrect the driver board.

After that, i told to myself, that it would be cool if i was able to dump those PAL myself. So i decided to build the adaptor from the world famous Charles McDonald ;) http://dreamjam.co.uk/emuviews/readpal.php And i took it as an learning project to design the pcb using Eagle. I was able to dump the pal i sent to Caius and had the same result in the end ;)

You can find the pcb design here https://github.com/pascalorama/paldumper

All the rest / Soapstone fireplaces arround europe
« on: August 16, 2012, 03:23:07 PM »
Hello all,

I'm investigating to change my house fuel burning heater for a cheaper solution (last full tank: 2400e -_-).

I heard about tulikivi fire places. which are soap stones heat accumulating fireplaces (i already have a fireplace). but a tulikivi (which is just a brand) can cost more than 10.000 euros. I wonder if you don't go for the brand, and if you shop in a country where it's more commonly used  like north europe (muerto ? :D) or east europe like austria maybe it could be cheaper . belgium is not known to be cheap. i'd not mind doing the RT :D

thanks in advance , if you have any infos about

Technical Area / 3d printing services
« on: September 21, 2011, 01:21:23 PM »
Hello all,

While trying to fix the spring in chrischris's outrun at eurocade,

(i borrowed etienne pic)

we noticed that one white cranked wheel was cracked. Besides finding a expensive part which are really scarce to find , there's no alternative . So i come up with an idea, why not trying to reproduce it using one of the 3d printing service. Does anyone tried those kind of service (shapeways or imaterialise) ? depending on solidity and price, I think this can greatly help us. Etienne dare to build a 3d scanner with a wood plank, some tape and paper clip ? ;);)
