Thanks a lot for the 'Briefing/Startup Sequence' video... it's beautifull... all these details... very impressive  :o

Please don't stop that project.

If it can help, have a look at the Stroff's Game & Emulation WIP (http://machna.com/games/index.html) and his forum (http://www.machna.com/yabb/YaBB.pl). He's the man behind 'Mjolnir Emulator'... and I'm almost sure he has no secret about the original Starblade graphic engine  :P

Thanks, I like precise work :)
(Otherwise, all HUD's elements are MODELS, not texture, :) except the font-sets)

Amazing  !!! I've already seen it on youtube, but this high resolution version is wonderful  :)

Maybe if you can't finish coding the game, you should create a non-interactive movie in CG... You already have done a lot of works : ships, background, story... it would be so great  8)

"You already have done a lot of works : ships, background, story... "

Don't forget, I wasn't modeling the Qrait and Spyke (these are Gabor's work), but I modified the models to "I see the style in my mind - what I want to make".
However, I create "objects" from "models". The "object level" is above the "model level", because the "object" can do everything: permanent effects(lights, glows, engines, etc.), explosions, sounds, moving - firing (AI), etc.
And the "25% complete" is just mathematical, not the real %, because the important (main)elements are missing: levels, etc.. :)
So, I have lot of work to complete game :)
The next tasks for me: complete the briefing (sounds, catapult corridor, leave carrier, etc), with the provisional attack fleet, complete the HUD elements (firearm system).
Next: Prepare the intro (Mozaika, and his boss ship, Titan base, wrecks etc.)
Later: Complete intro story with apocalypse (oops, it's secret :)

Spyke video coming soon, so as Qrait, too!

Otherwise, i quite agree: i should to make movies with my visions :)

Unfortunatelly, there is no widescreen format...
Once I'll create one.

While they develop Operation Black Noise, I'll be working on a customizable Starblade Scenario Engine, from scratch. If only I could find a free 3D Game engine distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0. Or any other open source license, for that matter. I plan to use one of those game engines for the backbone of my project. It's called, the UGSF VR Training Initiative. The premise of my project is that all the ace gunners got their start somehow. The most common training tool for gunners is the simulation. So, the scriptic side of the story is that you play as an ace gunner-in-training, and UGSF regulations state that gunners-in-training must log 1000 hours of simulation, or successfully accomplish 160 different scenarios, whether they are made by you, others, or the UGSF VRTI Dev Team. To have your character graduate from the UGSF Academy of Marksmanship, you must meet one of two requirements:
Log 1000 hours across all simulation, regardless of successful finsh or explosive failure.
--or--
Successfully complete 160 different scenarios of your choice.

If you do meet the second condition, you will get a special ending. I won't spoil it, but you can if you can figure it out.

Development ideas for my project are open for discussion on this topic: https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=3628.0
