Hello from Hungary
« on: July 07, 2012, 09:11:41 PM »
Hi everyone!

My name is Janos, living in Budapest, Hungary.
I would like to say hello, because i read this forum about 1,5 years ago and find many interesting things here.
I mainly interested in Tabletop/Handheld electronic games, but i also have some custom challenger cabs with 60in1, Double Dragon II, Pro soccer boards.
From the beginnings i really jealous of your cabs, proud to the mission for saving them from destruction
and keeping alive the culture of electronic games.
Mostly enjoy the road trips, side art and marquee graphics here, and the part of the forum with electronic handhelds.

We have a public place in the city, where everyone can be playing games for free.
It's our small home with my girlfriend.  ;D There's a relatively new community here, we opened 2 yrs ago.
This weekly game club has 1 or two arcade cabs, (depend from space) my collection of electronic handheld games, consoles, early bagatelle games on the wall, and looots of board games. We're open every Wednesday evenings.
The name of the place is "Kóceráj" poharazó. (Honky-tonk / Spelunke?) The name came from the drinking while we playing games.
Here's my introduction, so i happy to stay here!  ;)

Hi Janos, and a warm welcome to you here  :)

Nice pictures on your site.  ;)
I didn't know the 'packinko-like' games displayed on the wall, here : http://www.koceraj.hu/Koceraj/Fotok.html#9 ? Specific to your country?
Your place deserve better than only one arcade cabinet  ::) ;)

Anyway, have fun @ DLF/ALS'

Thanks for the welcome.

@DarthNuno:
Not specific hungarian, the name of this games is Bagatelle. (we call it Tivoli)
This is the tabletop version (and the ancestors) of the modern pinball games.

Some games came from the USSR, (from the 50's) and Czechoslovakia, and there are some hungarian also.

this game evokes the hungarian space-age, 1980 :)

My oldest bagatelle game is the Corinthian 21s, from 1930,
this early game doesn't have automatic ball shooter yet.

I love these games, like a picture on the wall, with his charming artworks.

We live in a small flat (37 m2)
Sometimes we play with 2 cabs here, but is uncomfortable for playing with other games.
