ok guys, just got word from paul who asked me to put this up here. his wish is my command ;)
he told my that another container is on its way to germany: in it one last galaga, more mr & ms pac-man and - i quote - some other games (i've asked for more information of course). while that is not spectacular right now, he told me further that he has more games waiting to be shipped over, amongst them ASTEROIDS, CENTIPEDE, SPACE INVADERS and *drum roll* DONKEY KONG!!!
i'll keep in touch with him and as soon as news arrive, i'll let you guys know. perhaps we could enter round 2 of the bulk buy.

I really hoped that Paul would make a move like this, after the success of the (Ms) PacMans bulk buy.
You can count me in for a DK cab, and I think Gyruss, who is at the moment in Japan where he is being called a 'otaku?' in the Japanese arcadehalls so he said, is also definately in. But I am first haha.

BTW Japan is fantastic!! I have visited 11 arcades, took 200 pictures and have still have two weeks left ;D ;D
Today was also a really nice day, I visited the Namco tower in kyoto and showed pictures of the pac man cabinets, the guys overhere went crazy!! So tomorrow when I visit a temple Ill do some praying for a Donkey Kong ;)

Which games are you playing over there? SHMUPS? SF4? Did you try the Pachinko's? Please, pics, now, or it doesn't happen. Man, I'm jealous, I really want to go to Akihabara myself oneday. Laconia (US), Kyoto and Tokio are on my top 3 places still to visit. But my wife first wants to go to Paris! Boring! :-\ Anyway, have fun and take care.

He won't sell much of those cabs I'm sure ! What a list of junk. Plus plenty of them already in Europe.
DK cabs are around 150 dollars in the US, maybe even cheaper now. (see this: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=132558&highlight=100+dollar)
It should be possible to get a DK for €300 in that case. The insanely dropping value of the Euro is not helping though (THANKS GREECE ! :evil: :evil: )

to be honest, i don't think that we're going to get a dk for 300. if we did, i'd take 6 at once for dk, dk2, dk3, dk jr., popeye and radarscope. :)

....but If someones planning on Radarscope, I have a kit so to speak - pcb, control panel, bezel and marquee... I know the pcb is sick but the chip thats requires MB(something or other) is available form mikesarcade.com

Bah, never got behind that Nintendo hype. DK is great and an arcade milestone but thats about it, many of their arcade games are just average, plus the original cabs to me are not as appealing as for example Atari cabs. One design for all, slap some stickers on its side..., that's boring.
I can understand that US guys are really after them because they had them in their youth, but over here...?
But to each his own...

I can understand what you are saying. If you think about it, it is quite easily manufactured like you said, one design, only different colors with stickers and a nice bezel and that's it. But for me personally, I like the comicstyle drawings on the bezel and the sideart & marquee, for instance on a Popeye or the DK Junior. But I will settle for a Burgertime too. I like those cabs so much, graphic-wise that is.

In order to do an easy thing for him, let's focus our request to the famous Nintendo cabinet : :arrow:

Got a message from Paul :
He can buy 20 x complete Nintendo cabs but untested. He can offer the games from his warehouse for approx 650 -750 Euro each .
We can expect the same lot/quality then the Ms PacMan/Galaga cabinets... The price is honest in my opinion :-* (try to import *for example* a 300$ cab from USA... and see how much it'll cost you at the end...).
And If we organize a bulk deal, we *may* have a better price. ;)
I know most of you would like to see pictures... full details and description... but we need to be fast of this, and don't spend to much time with details ;)
Paul don't have the hand on these cabinets yet...and all these cabinets are probably not in the same spot for the moment... As you can guess, there are probably other intermediary guys in US involved... so let's do not bother Paul with endless questions if possible. I know it's not the safest way to buy something, but it's like that for such items, in a bulk order like this.
Remember arcade cabinets is not the primary Paul's business. And he propose us this order ... on our request :-*
But as most of us already done deals with Paul, I'm sure there won't be any problem ;) Paul need a fast answer from us 8)

Regarding the price, the range will be as previously mentioned in the 650€ -750€ Euro each (probably depending the general condition for each cabinet), expect to pay more if you are not a part of this 'bulk buy' order!.

No Radar Scopes. There are a number of Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Popeye and Mario Brother but I think the cabinets are blue on the Mario Brothers, and NO RTypes. Probably can get you at least ten but not more than 14.
I can buy the games and we can make a deal, but we can not sell this games for the same price as the pacman/ms/galaga , sorry this games are from an other dealer...
I'll ask to Paul what is the dead line for this order and also an approximative date for the delivery ;)

I don't have the information yet Ully, but regarding the list of the actual buyers in the list (serious collectors or well know people here, previously got games from Paul,...) there should not be a problem ;) I'll let you know what Paul will say about this.

hmm, it's a pity he is asking this prices. I thought that the price you mentioned was his E-bay selling prices, just like he did with the Ms PacMans. I think it is quite a high price, but I also realize it is a lot of hassle and work to import those cabs. Is there a chance that if you/we will pull off the bulkdeal, we will get a more fair price??

This is the price given by Paul. As he said in my previous post :

We *may* expect a small bargain, but before that (and like every deals), we have to agree a price or we won't go nowhere unfortunately.
Of course, I'm always in (who aren't?) for a better price, but I can tell you the price is very fair for such cabinets, almost impossible to catch here in Europe. You can wait & try to catch one cabinet cheaper, but you take the risk to never find it, or wait a long time...it's up to you.
The difference with the Pac/MsPac/Galaga bulk deals is : In the previous case, Paul got a good deals from US, Someone proposed him a bulk of Ms/PM/GLG... and he got them. It wasn't a request. In that case, we are asking us this specific games. Even in US, this cabinet is not the cheapest one. And at the end, Paul is the seller... he fixes the prices. We can jump or not.

Delviertime i don`t know its depence from my container I think around 8-12 weeks. because its to late for this container and its full. so we have enought space in the next container. We can buy a lot of other games and the shipping is faster :-)

i guess the price quote is too rich for my blood as well - especially atm. i would have been in for a couple of nintendos for the pac-price we got, but i'm afraid i'll have to pass on this offer - as difficult as it is and as much as i'd love to have an original nintendo cab!

i can see at least 7 nintendo cabs, a pole position, probably a xevious and more. the whole lot sold for 1800 euros :o :o :o i wonder why noone jumped on that offer. something like that will probably NEVER happen again ...

OK, here's the next step of this order 8)
In order to validate your order, Paul's requesting a deposit of 250€ per cabinet. So this will be the assurance for Paul about the exact number of cabinet he'll be sure to sold immediately at the given price.
He'll use this payment method in order to set the order for selling the cabinet : I mean, the first who'll pay will be the first to choose its cabinet when they'll arrive. Of course, because all the members are not connected all the time to this board, he'll use in addition the order set following the answers given by interested members on this topic too. I know we are all gentlemen here, but this method will avoid any problem at this level ;)
Now, because it involves money/business at this point, I (and my website) cannot take the responsibility to take money from other members personally and to guarantee 'officially' the transaction (I'm just a kind of 'coordinator' and I've nothing to win on that story, just help members here to catch a Nintendo cab' !).
This point has to be done between the buyer and the seller.
So for the ones who are ready to order, just drop me a PM and I'll give you the payment details with Pauls.
Once again : we are ordering here NINTENDO cabinets, not a specific game (I've got a ton of message like 'I want a DK, or a RED one...)

...and me of course, so the total of cabinets reserved so far is six.
Paul will confirm me the good reception of the deposit of course.
An other think to clarify : I presume they are some people who are contacting Paul directly for 'our' special Nintendo order ::)
Here's my question to Paul about this point :
"Well, can you confirm me and the other members (who are in part of this order on my website) will be the first to come, see and select the cabinets? It's logical and fair than the first who pay and take some risk will be the first on the line the D day ;-) This point is very important and is the basis of this bulk order (or then nobody would pay in advance of course).
I'm really pushing a lot of energy to keep this group order 'clean' and fair.

I think he's importing something like approx 10 cabinets... even if that number is not reserved. So, the D day,we *may* have the possibility to get more. But I'll ask him the question of course.

Guys, I wish you all good luck and a lot of fun with this great bulk buy deal. chapeau Bruno for 'organizing' this. :) After the ms. pac-man cabs, soon another batch of pretty rare cabs will be on European soil. ;D I'm sure that we soon will see another series of great photo's of Nintendo cabs at Paul's place.
Although I will not participate, I will try to be there when you guys pick up your cabs (if you vpick them up that is), will be a little group meet, yeah. And I want to see those cabs also, must be awesome. :D
On a sidenote, I did contact Paul a few days ago and I asked him if his contactperson could get other cabs, which are on my wanted list. I got a pretty positive answer and Paul will let me know more soon. Would be great if more cabs could be shipped with the same container.
