I had weighed and measured it before checking their site which mentioned a different price but the woman at the post office wouldn't listen (or look it up) and I couldn't be bothered holding everyone up because of it, so she won by default (well, until the market opens up to competition in 2011 anyway  )

Glad it got there in one piece.

I'm actually not too happy about the "open" market for mail at all.

Quality will go down the drain completely for sure.

Lets see if i am capable of putting this thing back together  ;)
The scan of the scramble manual that bela did was a great help, since they have the same coindoor and its the same as in my manual, but his scan was alot more cleaner than mine.

I printed it on A3 so thats clear enough  8)
Also i found a page with a nice step by step restauration of a zaccaria coindoor
http://www.zaccaria-pinball.com/how-to/coin-door.html

All the parts after washing and scrubbing with a "pannenspons" (dutch word, how to call that in engish  ???)

Lets start with the assembly !

I know you like before and after shots, so here one of the "coinreturn spring"
Before:

And after sanding, and putting silicon grease to prevent future rusting:

Base Finished:

Almost done  :D

Now i need to install the parts that guide the coin to the switches, and the switches are not here, so i will pick them up soon.

I picked up the coin switches and installed them back in the door.
Solderd the wires back in place and secured them with tie-wraps
After that i ajusted the coinmech a bit and checked it with guilders for proper working.
the guilders stuck every time before i took it apart, but they work again now.

Time to finish this baby  ;)
I took the coindoor frame, and it looks pretty good.

Some minor damages, so for now a little cleaning and 1 coat of black spray paint will do fine.
eventually it will be powdercoated so one layer of paint is ok.

Ofcourse everybody knows that you cannot paint good without Etienne's pattented "superpainting hang-dry-System 9000"  ;D

Whats left to do in the meantime while the paint is drying ? yes, the key part...

As you can see , lots of brass corosion and dirt, so its time to call "Mister Muscle"  :D

I am using an old toothbrush for the grooves...

And again for the "before and after shot" lovers...  8)

Now for the lockpart, i took it apart to polish that too...
A piece of masking tape prevents the pins from falling out..

Polishing done, now putting it back together again  :-\

Thank god, without loosing any pins and in working condition...  :P

The coindoor decal has "slides" that direct the coin to the coinmech.
ofcourse i cannot install them dirty !

before and after cleaning with some soap:

The coin lights where working, but one of them was a bit more dark, so i decided to change all 3 bulbs
(thanx gyruss, you paid for them when i bought your DK caps  8))

In the bottom the old bulbs, in the top the new bulbs..
The old where 6V, but my local supplier only had 6,3V..  i can live with that  :)

A coindoor key without a keychain is not a coindoor key...
That is what Ully would say i think, so i printed this compilation in the size of a keychain that i had around..

Double print on Photo paper with inkjet
Ready for cutting..

Installed them in the keychain..

Coindoor complete !

Thats it for now, i played some rounds with a friend after i installed it in the cab, and now i need to see what my next step will be..

Those bulbs are available pretty cheap at www.flipperwinkel.nl
Just like the springs ! :D

Or ask Carl in Belgium (http://www.cedermangameparts.be).

He's less than 50km from your place Etienne so you could even pick up ;)

He's got LOADS of parts that are not listed on his site. But all the general "flipper" parts are there for sure. Very reasonable prices and shipping costs if sent per envelope from both suppliers mentioned.

do you aslo know what AVG stands for ?
As far as I know it means "Awesome Video Games", it is some kind of rating system.

No sir, i just accidently found it out myself by browsing some flyers on the net...

"AutomatenVertriebsGesellschaft"
i guess its like a official distributor  ???
or something like the dutch "VAN"...

I can translate it a bit with my german, but thats very little, so we need a native german guy.....

ULLY !!!!   whats the exact meaning ?

"AutomatenVertriebsGesellschaft"
ULLY !!!!   whats the exact meaning ?

"vertriebsgesellschaft" means distributing / marketing / sales company, in this case a firm responsible for selling the machines to arcades, pubs etc. probably something like a middleman between the manufacturer and the customer! hope that helps :-[
