Title: [Gaming Room] My Little arcade
Post by: retromax on January 07, 2010, 01:59:05 PM
Ok so seeing as i'm new on here I thought id post a bit of info on my cabs :)

First we have my Dedicated Namco Time Crisis machine that pretty much speaks for itself

my Electrocoin "Spectrum" Jamma cab which currentley has my "Final Fight" board in it (the Silverline Jamma cab on the left I no-longer have as I got rid of it to make room for another cab)

My "Radikal Bikers" cab that basically now has a PC inside it (as I got it quite cheap as an empty cab) it now runs MAME, Model2 Emulator & PC games.

Running "Super Hang On" on MAME
(http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu10/retromax/shangrad1.jpg)

And Sega "ManxTT Superbike" on the Model2 Emulator
(http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu10/retromax/AJmanxxtt.jpg)

Then we have my Converted "Cruisin' USA" cabinet that also now houses a PC and runs emulated games like MAME and the Model2 Emulator as well as PC titles like Crazy Taxi and Outrun2006 (Outrun2SP) amongs others
Here it is running Chase HQ
(http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu10/retromax/chasehqdc.jpg)

and here running Crazy Taxi (before I modified the control panel with another shifter on the left)

Then we've got the first cab I got in 2001 my MAME'ed Electrocoin Xenon which I bought as an empty cab and converted it to run MAME, it's had quite a few revitions over the years!

Then we've got the cocktail cab that I built from Scratch that Runs MAME

then the minature MAME cab that I built for my little boy

and finally my latest project is my Electrocoin Taito "Chase HQ" cabinet that I also got as an empty cab but it now runs Chase HQ via MAME from boot and nothing else.

and a couple of video's of some of them in action

Thanks all!.... I do try :)
It's all great fun!,
The flyers are all printed on A4 paper and then laminated, I also love ManxTT superbike and it runs great on my cab via the M2 Emulator, I've always loved Time Crisis too since I first played it on holiday one year.

If anyone cares to read about the conversion of the ChaseHQ cab you can read about it over at the retrogamer forum here:-

bruno is a big fan of older era classic games, i bet he is just joking that a true arcade must have some 'classics'. though of course classic can mean different things to all of us ;)

Thanks!, I have got a Chase HQ pcb but it needs a lot of repairing doing, there is a bad ram or something, no sound and something wrong with the colours and that's just the stuff I know about!. I'd also need to get hold of a 20" monitor too, I do have the wiring loom though ;D

Oh and the way I have things right now is great, to the untrained eye you can't really tell as i've got the patrol light's working exactley as they should and I don't have to worry about a 20 year+ year old board breaking down, I can do any repairs to the pc components myself if they broke down probably from stuff I allready have and as I own the original board....... technically it's all legal :)

That's no Radical Bikers, I have the PCB (and a cage and some other heavy stuff) but not cabb. Maybe we could work something out?

That is a nice Pizza delivery game. I'd sure like to have the cabb to put my game into.
