Hi Guys!
here are some pictures as requested, the 2 monitors listed as "no burn" indeed have none at all
the others i dont think are bad,but are visible with the game off, they also dont affect game play,so i took a pic with the flash on to try to show them best i could, just so there is no misconception that they do have a little burn etc....
any more questions or extra specific pics just drop me a line..
cheers

heres G05-801

I didn't refer only to your post, I had seen some such posts lately.
I know and I agree. In fact around the time I entered this forum no-one did a formal introduction....Im not that highly strung on those introductions although I do like them. It's just the other things I already explained.

Now back on topic and Chain, just do what Muerto and Darth suggested and start to "come alive" on this wonderful forum first a bit :)

And there seem to be plenty power bricks for all of us :):)

Great pics, thanks Phil !

I need a monitor for my Asteroids upright.. But I guess getting it to Eurocade would be difficult?
Uh.....weren't you coming by plane ? I would LOVE to see you take this as your hand luggage :):):)

Haha, I think that would be a problem! ;D I would have to pack it properly and check it in of course.  :)

Meaning it would go with the regular luggage .......you do know how they handle that right ?

And it's quite expensive too I fear.....

I have no idea, Sometimes there are people with the most insane things they are bringing with them on planes....

Apart from all that: Chris won't be in the UK until october so that is too late for Eurocade.

If packed well, a monitor can be safely shipped. Packing well does NOT mean filling it with chips....the external forces will be passed on to the neck through the chips. It's a common made mistake. Double boxing is key, and making sure not any stress will reach the neck, no matter what happens during shipment. The g05 cage is already pretty well set up for this. Maybe some very strong cardboard or even some very light wood covering the entire back would do the trick. I'd put the screen side on the bottom, it's the strongest and heaviest part.

I'm very interested in a spare monitor for my Asteroids but can't tell you which one until this Wednesday.
As I already told Phil, I'm definitely buying one of the bricks too.
As mentioned by Andre, I can bring whatever you buy from Oxford to Belgium mid-October.
Buyers will have to share the costs of transportation from Phil to Oxford which should be done by the awesome "Martin the deliveryman" (I haven't asked him for a quote yet).

Level42: You're right! Having thought about it, it would only be troublesome to bring it to/from Eurocade, and it would probably cost me more than posting it.

But I have a complete Asteroids cabinet with power brick and pcb. I just need a monitor.  :-\

I made Phil scrap a perfectly good Asteroids just to get my spare 801!
There's my arcade collector credibility at its best...
