Well, the natural wood + white paint on walls inspires more a pub/snooker ambiance than a game room where you'll collect various things... I don't know... It's my first impression. I'm a big fan of ALL your items  :-* but maybe not displayed on the floor like that?
You should maybe display them in something like this?

lol, I am not going to leave them on the floor  :o hahahaha
I'll get a glass cabinet of some sort for them  :D

But the ones that are IN the shelves, do you like how it's setup ? I think it looks 'Busy'

Suggestion for you!   :D

Check for store closings or remodels for display cases!  This is how I got mine for my game room!  You can find great deals!

Since these cases are commercial, they are big & roomy, Just Perfect!!

You can even paint & customize them!!!

Good Luck!  ;D

Dexter, I've seen on TV yesterday  :-\

The number of deaths from bushfires that have already claimed 171 lives in the Australian state of Victoria is likely to rise, officials have warned.

Police believe some of the fires were started deliberately - actions which Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said amounted to "mass murder".

Survivors have recounted how they fled walls of flames. Some people died in their cars trying to escape the fires.

Some rural towns have been completely destroyed.

Police have sealed off a number of sites, including the devastated small town of Maryville, as possible crime scenes.

Victoria State Premier John Brumby said: "We have had whole communities just completely wiped out, completely obliterated, by what people would describe as literally a fireball that just came over the hills and devoured everything before them.

 :o :-X

I really hope there's no problem for you, friends or family  :-\

Thanks guys,

Bruno, I built the Space Ace myself from the ground up  :D and the Cobra Command is in good condition.

As for the bush fires, it is REALLY bad  :'(
I am in Sydney, no friends or family live near the fires, but I feel for the ones that have lost their homes and/or their lives  :'(

Well looks like I am going to be able to get about 12 or so machines in the room. I did want to add a Pinball, Vending machine and a jukebox.

I'm going to make a wall mounted jukebox, unsure if I can fit the other stuff in  :(

Here are the games that WILL be in the room:

Space Ace
Dragon's Lair
Cobra Command
Cliff Hanger
Peter Pack Rat
Marble Madness
Gauntlet
Rolling Thunder
Discs of Tron
Interstellar Laser Fantasy
Pyros/Wardner
Hyper Olympics

If I can fit them in

Out Run
Juno First
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Might have to add a MAME cab for some of the other games I like to play.

Also managed to find a HUGE orange rug for the floor (going for the 80's retro look)

More pics soon as we are still unpacking after the big move.

I am also going to pick up a HUGE shag pile rug (Orange) tomorrow too  :P

That's a gorgeous case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

I bet you DL SA goodies will look great in there!

A quick, but VERY important note to all the board members:

If you use flourscent lighting in anything, (display cases etc.) be sure to get UV protective sleeves for the bulbs, or your goodies will slowly fade away..  :?

These can be found in archival supply catalogs.

Okay, I've picked up the glass cabinet  ;D

Now, what I am unsure about is, should I keep all my DL/SA stuff in it like this:

Or, should I keep all the other memorabilia in it like this:

Congrats on your cool display case! 8)

Maybe you can buy some stands to put the DL/SA discs on so they don't lie down but at an angle to put more depth in the display? :) Either way, both setups look very good. I like the second setup a little more because it has more "depth", but maybe you can arrange that for your DL/SA too. ;D

Oh and a Jukebox

The Jukebox would be 'the savior' regarding this area

I presume you don't put game there 'coz you don't want to hide the 'built in wall' display, so maybe it would be the perfect place for a small machine, like a Jukebox , a cockpit or a cocktail?

Thanks for this new load of pictures  :)

Woow  :o

I've never heard about this  :o Here, in Europe, we had Walkman, and the Discman, and also the 'Minidisc'... but I've never seen a 'Walkman'  :P

Regarding the lightning :

I would put more light on the floor, because it looks a little bit 'too dark'.
You should try some fluorescent tube or neon behind the cabinet, just on the floor.

Anyway, it rocks  :spaceace:

Thanks Bruno.

I have a few more 'Watchman' TV's coming (pics will be added)

As for the lighting. There is lighting on the floor, just can't see it in the photo's (mainly the strobe light) and looks awesome.

I'm planning to add more Blacklight to the other side of the room and where Gauntlet it I'll add a coloured light (Yellow or Red or something)

I plan on putting some Neon type lights on the top/back of the cabs too.

Anyway, I'd say it's half done. But starting to take shape.

Steve

O wow, that's cool to have work on a production like that, congrats Bruno !

I like the Watchmen....I had forgotten about them a bit but I'm sure they were sold over here too. I do remember them. Very expensive (then).

Do the CRT's still work ? Though you may like the LCD better, I consider the CRT's to be more of a "special" thing. It's amazing how they crammed a CRT in a tiny case like that :)

Even though I'm not a fan of DL etc. I like your collection, looking great in a showcase like that !

O and that Outrun looks great !

Can't wait for more packages to arrive this week

And two Jaguar Space Ace's (PAL and NTSC) are starting on their long trip to you today :)

The real challenge would be getting one of those to actually play.

From what I've read, the Jaguar CD is not only rare, it's also very unreliable. But I guess you won't play it anyway. It does like a very good conversion (checked some Youtube video's).

I have a Jaguar and CD drive that work perfectly (NTSC I might add) I'm going to put that, the 3DO (FZ-1) and Mega CD in the other cabinet (and maybe a PC Engine)

But NONE of the games I have will be played, it's for the display cabinet only and as I am running out of room, I think I am almost done getting the games I want for it.

Oh, and AWESOME about the games  ;D

Glad to see the Jag CD's arrived safely ! I forgot to remove the price stickers I see now !  I'm sure you can remove them without damaging the shrink-wrap, I've bought 2 12" records (you know, this big black vinyl discs) while I was there and I removed the same price tags from those. (Great find, two Level 42 12"es that were still missing in my collection :) What a co-incidence !).....

I for one know what Vinyl is (still have some)

I now have all the items I need, and I'll take some photo's tonight and post them up.

I still didn't see anything on my PayPal Dexter, so in my book you are still a scammer.

For those who are new here, let me introduce Mr. Dexter. For those who forgot, let me refresh your memory:

https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=1751.msg28876#msg28876

and

https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=1007.0

I also know that Chadtower from the BYOAC forum bought a Berzerk batstick from this Steve, paid 100 dollars and never got anything, here's the story:
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=51195.msg1019228#msg1019228

(and there's a nice sum-up I did on the bottom of that thread....)

And there's a guy called Zane in Australia who has also been scammed by him for a similar amount of money.

So you better make up for all this shit FAST before you can act normally here !

He has every chance in the world. (He has had the chance for about three years.....)
As mentioned if he really makes up to all the mentioned people we can put this behind us.

There have been PMs going between us prior to his post here today.

There are still reasons for me to not trust him at this moment and until I have the hard proof in my hands I won't change my opinion on him and he knows this.

Come on, he owes the guy money, and several others, and then when he starts posting pictures, you know that you will get a reaction. That's why they call it a forum.

I totally agree and To be honest I am getting pretty tired of this. This place is like Disney world, we must all pretend to be living in a big pink palace where everying is sweet all of the time....Grow up Bruno, wake up to the real world AND SUPPORT THE MEMBERS WHO CONTRIBUTE A SHITLOAD HERE OVER THE LAST YEARS INSTEAD OF A CON-ARTIST !!!!!!!

It makes me a MAD panda !!!

Are you personally involved in the story? Do you have some add on this? No, so why reply ... to just reply in a thread-poisoning way...in an other topic !!

I'm also tired of that! It's not a matter of pro or cons someone. I guess you provided all the links to explain what's wrong...try to settle something via PM first ...and maybe wait some answers before starting a battle on topic! Do you really need to keep a topic open and continue to charge him endlessly? He sent mails recently to few guys in order to discuss 'bout the past, maybe you may give him a chance? Try to solve problem first, and bite after!
Damn it! I've so less time for this hobby these last months, and I've to spent this little time on moderation! I'm also tired to discuss the way I do moderation here by the way...

So I am going to add my two cents to all this.

I came back to make some of the wrong doings right. I could of just stayed away and left it at that, but I contacted ALL the people on here first saying I want to fix up from my stuff up. Yes, I stuffed up I let ‘pussy’ control my life and I shouldn’t of. But I did and yes I am back to pay for all the wrongs.

I like it how others that don’t know me add their two cents, even though no one seems to see the ‘good’ I did before I went off the tracks. Others have been able to move on some can’t no matter what I do or say. As I said to Andre next pay day he’ll be paid and I understand why he does not want to believe it till it happens. But I will do it.

I wanted to keep this in PM’s as I knew it would go off track and others would jump in and have their say.

So for me, I am living my life now the way I want to live and that’s not having ANYTHING outstanding (hence the reason I came back to fix things)

Things happen in peoples lives, some know how to deal with it, others don’t. I didn’t deal with things the way I should of, but that’s in the past and I want to fix things for the future.

Believe what you want, but ask yourself WHY would I come back (and PM people) when I could of just ready the forums and never posted (and I PM’d everyone days before I posted anything)

I am not a bad person I just didn’t deal with things the way I should of.

That's up to Andre, as far as I know the Space Ace discs for the Jaguar he sent me was for doing the marquee. If I am paying him for the CD's then I guess you keep going ??

I'm happy either way.

Let it be noted that I only still post here to handle this issue.

I am only interested in getting back my money. You never finished that artwork and you are just serving it up here again to buy more time. IF I am wrong about that you can send me the files within 48 hrs digitally and I will consider the case closed. NO excuses that your PC is on the other side of the country etc.

The bare fact is that I still have nothing on my PayPal. You PMed me that you had to wait to get paid (salary I presume ?), then give the cash to your friend who will then PM me. So what is your expected day that this may happen ? Let us agree that you should be able to do this within one week from now.

Did you contact the other guys I mentioned yet, like Chadtower ? Did you offer him to send back his money ?

Anyway, the files in my mailbox within 48 hrs or the money (60 Euros) on my BANK account within 7 days. ( I say bank account because I will have to transfer the money to my bank account to make sure you do not withdraw the payment again from PayPal.....).

THEN I need reports from Chadtower and the other two guys that you have settled things with them and THEN and ONLY THEN we are in the clear.

Strange fact that a few people are complaining about Dexter and not about Ram Control ... business is business.
Well you are completely wrong with comparing these two.

First, the Dexter case was NOT business. He offered to do vectoring the artwork of the Joust marquee without requesting anything in return. Because I am a good and trusting person, and because I had read that he collected DL/SA games in all formats AND because I happened to know two Jaguar version for sale here iHolland, I thought it would be a nice gesture as a thank you for his hard work, to buy them for him and send them. The rest of the story is clear enough.....nothing was ever made or sent to me.

So, instead of this being a bad business transaction, I felt totally screwded by him. He broke my trust in members in this community and from that point on I have been much more cautious with my dealings.

Later, I found out that others on other forums had similar things (stuff that I would consider business transactions, like Dexter offering a bat joystick to Chadtower, Chad sending him 100 dollars and Dexter sending nothing.

Please read the other links I posted to for the other guys who got scammed too.

Now, personally I have NEVER had one bad dealing with RAM controls. Because of the bad reports though On my last dealing with him I took the neccesary precautions, to which ram controls (whoever that may be today) agreed. The item was in my hands within 7 days. I cannot call that scamming. He sent me the item, I paid the agreed money, succesfull business deal done, period.

Oh yeah and why is that  ???? Mr. Dexter sent me a PM on April 12 that he transferred the money to his "friend" who would then PayPal me, well ther is still NOTHING on my PayPal account.

Look back a couple of postings, he claims the money would be in my PayPal account on the 14th.....

It is 20 April now.....bank transfers take only a day these days and PayPal is INSTANT. The only conclusioon can be what I already said before: Dexter lies and is a scammer.

I would like to thank the very few of you who actually supported me, and I must say I am greatly disappointed by the lack of support from others who I thought were my friends.....

But in the end it turns out who was right here. Just like I predicted.

Enjoy your Mr. Dexter here on this forum, I am sure he will be a great asset to the community !!!!!

Well, let me resume what we have here.

Someone came back from nowhere, on its own initiative, in order to fix mistakes from the past.
He seems to have no particular reason to come back, so it's rather wise to give him the benefit of give doubt. Or at least a certain time. It's my nature to think that first.
Regrettably he didn't take the opportunity to pay Level 42 so far.

This topic has been reopen since almost three weeks from now, and I doubt there is really something more to debate on this. It's now a matter of 'does he sent the money or not?'.
As far as I know André is the only one on this board who has an issue with Dexter? That is probably because no one react on this topic.
That doesn't mean they don't support you... it's just that there's nothing to say, like they didn't say nothing regarding Dexter either. We/they/I just follow a money issue between two guys on a public topic.

What I propose is to close this topic for now, and when André will get the money or other information that the 'Community' should be aware of, I'll re-open it for sure.
Sounds fair guys?

Now André , I expect to ready you on your best topics like the Eurocade stuffs, Drive talkin', XY monitors, and other CRT Rejuvenator explanation (even if I don't understand everything)  ;)

Two friends walk on the street.
They are going out and plan on having fun.
One of them suddenly is attacked and knocked down by a stranger for no reason at all.
The other friend walks on and says, hey sorry my friend, but this is a matter between you and that guy....I stay strictly neutral.

I can understand Andre's point, but i dont know if you can compare physical attacks with a money issue in that way.

I do have my opinion and thoughts about situations like happening here now, and even if i dont express them here in public, that  does not mean i am not supporting friends.

the facts just dont lie, a statement was made that he will settle it by the 14th, and it didnt happen.. (as i expected)

Its always good to give people the benefit of the doubt, but i need to say that it is almost not possible that people change..
Yes, i say almost, because there are cases that people change, but in general is the rule "once a thief always a thief"

He says he is comming back to fix the past, and in my opinion he did show the opposite in this case.

But yes, probably the friend that should paypal to andre is the fault, lost the money, got robbed, is moving to another city, getting devorced or maybe is too sick to type in the paypal login and adress where to send it.

subscribing to paypal and transferring money to it does not take up 3 weeks..

heck, why does he not have his own paypal ?

 thats probably not my business  ;)

Title: Re: Dexter's Games Room

André, good friend, or at least, I like to think that you're a good friend. Not only because I appreciate your presence here on the forum as the 'mister-know it-all' goeroe of the arcade scene, but also in a personal way, since we met we had a lot of great times and we did some awesome stuff together.

On several occasions you made it clear that you like to say what you think and that you appreciate that in others too.  :) So here it goes. I think that you are out of line with your last few comments, regarding not having much friends here and not being supported (enough). Personally I feel very uncomfortable with these words, not (only) for me, but also because of other forum members. And having read the reply from Bela, I'm sure that others feel the same way. They might even feel insulted.

In fact, I think that the opposite is true, most regular forum members, if not all, and including me, support you, be it in words here on the forum, verbal or in silence. And regarding the 'silent' members, you must understand that not everybody wants to get involved in an issue, not because they are unsupportive, but because they think that they have no valuable contribution. But even if they have no reason why they didn't communicate here, doesn't mean that they don't agree with you.

So, I think thay you really are to harsh and that you jump to conclusions too quickly.

And even if they don't agree with you, or like to give Dexter the benefit of the doubt for some reason, that should be no problem. After all, we are people, who not all have the same opinions (I like Galaga, you like Galaxian, I know for a fact that Ramcontrols are scammers because they ripped me and others off, you have no problem with them because you never got ripped by them). But you know what? That is great, because else life (and internet forums  ;D ) would be very dull. And the best thing is that those people who sometimes have different opinions can still be great friends with each other.

In this case, Dexter really seems to be a scammer, you're right and others will be disappointed (again) in him because they want to see the good in people, as I do. Anyway, for everybody it's a bad thing happening in the community. Again, you got scammed, welcome to the world.  :'( I'm sure that everybody here has been scammed once or more often in their lives, but we deal with that, and so will you.  :)

I know that you told me that you're sometimes fed up here, but I'm sure that you still read this topic and probably everything else  ;) So I call on you, just know that you have a lot of friends and good friends here, who you all got to know through this hobby and this forum, consider this scam dealt with and come back to the forum. I already told you that without your input this forum will be a lot less interesting (well, at least a bit, I don't want to provoke the other members.  ;) ;D )  Besides, we don't want to lose a good friend.

Just my two cents.

I have really really few time for the hobby (and for relaxing in general) at the moment (and the 2 coming weeks will be even worse goddamnit) so I just take a quick look at my favorite forum (this one) from time to time and don't even have the time to comment properly or post cool stuff (yes, I have some material that I'd love to share with you buddies)... but if I only post one thing this month, I HAVE to take the time to react to this post and I say loud and clear "+1" to Erik's post because as you know, like him I like Galaga more than Galaxian (oh and also for the other stuff he wrote too, of course). Now let's bury this PITA of a topic for ever under all the CRT neck I've broken over the years and move on to the real arcade sh*t.

Dexter had his chance to sort things out....he didn't...he should be banned!

I totally understand André. In a summer vacation in South France we met some other Germans. 3 days before we left he asked if we would have a book for him that we don't need anymore. All we had was a book that I have given my wife as a gift. We both had finished it and we said he could have it but should send it to our home when he's back in Germany. He agreed, he was very very thankful and spoke many "loving" words. My wife wrote name and adress on the first page of the book because a piece of paper could easily be lost.

Guess what. We have been waiting a very long time for the book to show up but it never arrived. I was so angry and so disappointed. Of course it was just a book and it was only ~25€...but it was a gift to my wife and that guy promised a thousand times to send it back.

The book finally returned to us after three years....it was unbeliveable that I met this guy again.....on one of our Daddelparties!!! He apologized a thousand times and he was very ashamed.....too late IMO. Shipping a book is not that spectacular and difficult....

To make a long story short: someone who acts like Dexter in this case should not be part of this community! Don't let this guy make André move away from the forum!!!

if I make a quick judgement, I dont think the money isn't even the issue for our big Feyenoord terrorist over here ;)

I think as a Dutchman, it hurts him when he was being unabled to type out his thoughts, opinion and his facts and everything about the matter, and at the end even was supposed to believe a new bullshit promise again, for the benefit of the doubt (when EVERYTHING pointed in the other direction). But when Andre did, he got put to silent. That's wrong, especially on a forum, where to whole idea is to speak out on no matter what.

I think he'll come back. Arcade's forums are in his blood I think, so dont worry

RR, you hit the nail EXACTLY on the head, I couldn't have explained it any better myself.

I don't give a shit about the money, I have written it off years ago.

Bruno sent me a PM yesterday if we can discuss things quietly on the phone. I'm not a phone man at all, so I sent him a PM and I don't see a reason to once again put things under the ground when there is some form of disagreement. Friends should TALK if they don't agree and everyone should be able to join in IMHO.

The contents of that PM could just as well be published right here IMHO because I have got NOTHING to hide from anyone here. That is also what I wrote in that PM.

My return here depends on some things to change, exactly those things RR mentions.

IMHO Bruno made a mistake by trying to stay neutral in a situation that was clear from the very first moment. I don't like to brag, but I think my contributions to the community and this forum outweighs those of Mr. Dexter somewhat.
IMHO Bruno should have PMed Dexter that UNTIL he had settled things with me (and preferably with the others as well) he was not allowed to post here. I actually warned Dexter not to do so until he paid me because else I would "blow the whistle" on him so the newer member here would know who this clown is and the older members would remember (by the way, here's his picture, should you ever meet him down-under:
(http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll124/Atari_Fan/Steve/SDC10624copy.jpg) (NOTE HE PUT THIS PICTURE UP HIMSELF IN THE VERY START OF THIS THREAD).

I felt left in the cold by someone who says he regards me as a friend in this hobby. Bruno could still have remained neutral as mod by simply temporarily blocking Dexter's account until he got the word from me he had settled things with (at least) me.

My return on this forum is in Bruno's hands. I can't keep posting here, constantly having to watch my words. I am simply to "vocal" for this. Blame my upbringing, blame my Rotterdam background or Dutch or whatever, but this is what I am. As long as things stay respectful (no cursing/personal attacks) I think everything should be possible to discuss, after all that is the meaning of the word FORUM.

i've tried to stay out of this as much as possible, but it would really be a great loss to this forum and to me as an (arcade) friend if you would disappear from here, andré! i hope you'll get things resolved with bruno quickly. as far as dexter goes, i'm someone who believes in second chances and i was ready to "re-welcome" him here on this forum, but HE BLEW IT BIG TIME - AGAIN!!! those excuses regarding payment were simply l-a-m-e!!!
Title: Re: Dexter's Games Room

The excuses I have seen so far from Mr. Dexter:

-divorce (at the beginning of his thread he introduces his fiancé....things can go quick of course, maybe he scammed here too ?:
-my computer is on the other side of the country
-moving house
-I have no USB cable
-death of GF's niece
-waiting for my mate to do (fill in your choice, think of something, anything)
-have to first get paid (pay day is at the end of the month here, 12th of the mont seems a strange date ? I do realize some countries still have weekly pay days)
-have to....

uhhhh why bother. All this was clear from here:
https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=1007.0

This (plus Chadtower's and the 4th guy's story) made me not trust him from the start of his return. I _STILL_ gave him a chance.

https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=628.msg48666#msg48666

I bet he still owes you the money for the Berzerk stick ?

He started of with PMing me if he would be accepted again if he made up for his wrongs. I replied that he could pay for the Jaguar games I sent him, He said OK and I sent him my PayPal address. Not surprisingly he answered he didn't have a PP account anymore, I replied that that was probably because he was kicked out because of fraud, he replied it was because of his ex wife closing the account everytime he tries to open it.... so then he suggested other (impossible) payment options and then said he would pay through a friends PP as soon as he got his salary and would hand his friend the cash.

This all sounds 100% scam to me and I will believe it when I see it. I also mentioned he should make up with you and the two Australian guys as well until I would treat him normally....well see I have no trust really....

Just wanted to let you know,

Cheers, André

I'm with Ully. Things can go wrong and one can be given a 2nd chance. Dexter didn't use it to sort things out.

Remove him from the forum before he can fool another one!

If other guys will get fooled in the future they could blame the forum "You're to be blamed because you knew what sort of guy he is".

If I would be Dexter in this case I would send the money to André and never come back here. IMHO this would be the best he could do.

Remember that Andre's first concern is not the 60 bucks, it would be nice to have that back ofcourse, but the main reason he was very pissed off which i can understand is that he was "shut up" by moderation.

Now moderation is ofcourse nessecary, and i can understand bruno also, dont get me wrong.

I assume he wants to keep the things nice which is also a good thing.

The fact that i saw was that by this moderation, andre felt he was put down, and that the moderation "choose" for the side of a scammer.

Now i dont say that that was ment in that way, but it did provoke andre, so i can understand the feeling.
No offence to bruno, but IHMO i think Andre did earn more credit than a known scammer.

Also Dex is there and he can defend himself in this thread if he wanted to, but he didn't and also did not come clean (as expected)

I am not posting this to provoke anything, just want to have this of my chest and as a last comment from my side to close this issue for myself and we can continue in a nice and cool way we had before our friend f#cked things up  ;D

Well, I must confess I didn't really pay attention to all the facts of this 'story' at the very beginning of it. In true, these last months I spend most of my free time for my daughter, my mind is less 'into the arcade stuff' ATM (parents here know what I'm talking about). So I didn't really take time to investigate on the Dexter's background. I got a private message from him, and somehow, I was 'touched' by his message, and really confident about his intention. It's always touching when someone decide to "make right his wrongs", and yes, I'm that kind of guy who think that an happy end is always possible (like the end of Jedi, when Vader is no more on the dark side ;D)... unfortunately for everyone (no money for André, no 'redemption' for Dexter, mess on this post...) , facts prove now that I was wrong about Dexter, but hey, I'm not a prophet. The neutral position doesn't mean I don't support André. You may compare this neutral attitude as my way to say 'just wait a little bit'. But I can understand now this can be misinterpreted, and why André was mad about this. There was no bad intention about André, my apologies if it was too rude (I'll consider more things concerning moderation in the future by the way).
André is a great arcade friend for me in our great community, and a great contributor on this board. There no doubt he did earn TEN THOUSANDS more credits than a scammer!
It's now clear Dexter will have to fix all the problems with all the guys Andre mentioned before 'hoping' joining our arcade community again... I hope (for him) he will, even with all these growing problems...

I am happy about the way you see it Bruno, which also gives us a better view at why you made a mistake.

A mistake is ofcourse human, and i hope that all this will be behind us.

This makes me think, i can understand as a parent that children can take away alot of time from the hobby, and thats good!
It is afterall hobby, and that means having fun outside of the standard "obligated" things we need to do.

This makes me also think that maybe since the board is growing and growing, this board maybe needs more moderators.
Its difficult to moderate everything by one person especcially when this person is having less time to it for whatever reason.

The reason is not important, i mean you dont need to justify your reasons to us why you have less time for the hobby, thats not our business.
every human is free do do what he likes and dont need to explanate why he or she has less time.

Just an idea..

Believe it or not but we have crazy busy times at work and thus I didnt reply earlier but I think this "case is closed". I made mistakes in this "process" too, partially also caused by things in my private life, but I'm still not proud of them. Maybe I took this all too seriously, but I think everything is clear now for everyone.
Bruno and I had two very good PMs where we both said what we may should have said already some time ago, anyway for me the air is cleared. Let's move on with positive stuff !

This "Steve G" guy started a transaction for a Dragon's Lair cel & background that he did not finish.  I finally gave up on this hoser and I now see I am not alone in my opinion of him.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I welcome you to the last episode of the Steve G story. The story about the biggest asshole I have come across in this hobby.

To prevent any discussions I'll post a screenshot from my PM Inbox on the DLF forum:

I figured......well...... let's give him a final chance. The 5th or so ?

So I replied to the first mail with my PP address.

The second mail I even replied with "I hope we can put this all behind us".

OK guys stop laughing.........I'm just to nice of a guy.......

OF COURSE i GOT ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ON MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT FROM THIS F^*^& AS8769LE....

I'm not sure what irritates me more:
The unbelievable rotten brain and soul that this "human" must have, or the unbelievable stupidity of myself thinking he just _MIGHT_ have bettered his life.....

OK guys please stop laughing now....

ANYWAY FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL TIME:

IF YOU GET CONTACTED BY THIS LIAR AND THIEF:

"STEVE FROM AUSTRALIA"
"STEVE G"
"DEXTER"

Then RUN RUN RUN RUN !!!!!! DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD HE SAYS !!!!

I sent him a nice PM yesterday, telling exactly my thoughts about him.

Trust me......it was not nice. At all.

Those who want can get a PM copy if they want, but I don't want to post those kind of words on the forum.

I think after staying "politically correct" over this stretch of years it was enough and it was my good right to call him whatever I thought about him.

Yes, I even suggested him to find a tall building and do himself and the world a big favor.....

Anyway, of course the scammer stays into his repeating pattern and this is what I received:

Of course Steve.....sure.....I really understand.....if you really think I'm stupid enough to fall for this AGAIN, you are badly mistaken.

Find that tall building my friend....do the world a favor....

Why did he suggest to pay me through PP when he knew it wouldn't work in the first place.

The "fun" is we went through this exactly the same before.... "My friend will PP the money when I receive my pay-check".....

Blablablablabla......for people like him I hope such thing as HELL exists....since I don't believe in hell, heaven or gods, I try to create a small HELL for him as much as I can by spreading the word about this asshole....

Here is his post to me.

Not once have I been abusive, I do want to repay him, end of story.

It all started here:

https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=710.0

I was doing the artwork for free, and I posted progress shots. Andre offered me 2x space ace cd's. If he didn't I never would of been paid. I say I got to about 80% done (as seen on the thread) I also send progress emails to Andre.

As stated, I can't use my paypal account and trying to resolve that.

Well, TBH guys, I don't know how to "moderate this" . This goes too far now (real names, insults, accusation). I'll ask some advice on this. Because I host this board, I may be responsible in some way  :-X  and you can understand I don't want any penal problem because of this 'sad' story...
André or Dexter, let me know over PM what we can do here...
And for the other, If you respect me and this board... put back the popcorn in the bag for now.
