Phillips CM3388 MK2 Monitor
« on: June 04, 2013, 10:33:47 PM »
Hi,

I recently got a Phillips M3388 MK2 Monitor to be used as a test monitor. I understand that I need to create a cable that will allow the jamma video output to connect to the 9-pin rgb d-sub input of the monitor. Has anyone done this, and does anyone have a good wiring diagram please?

Many thanks,

Si

This should be sufficient: http://www.ym2149.com/philips_pinout.jpg

Pin6 is the "switch" for rgb. If you give 5v on pin6 everything is fine ... then the device switches to rgb-mode. For the rgb-inputs (pin3-5) it might be neccessary to use 75ohm resistors for some pcbs. I build in 1k pots in my mak. Only used them a couple of times though.
