Arcade Lifestyle / New way to get cabs from the US
« on: August 01, 2018, 12:22:17 PM »
Ok guys... here is what might happen very soon.

You know that Jochen became some kind of savekit-maniac in the past 3 years. Most of the kits are sold in the US so he met quite a few very interesting people. We might have found a way to ship single cabs in front of your door soon with shipping times under two weeks.

Yeah... it is more pricy than a container but if things will go as planed the estimated price would be around 700 to 800 euros for one cab, depending on the dollar. Considering that you will have the machine in no time and you are getting it delivered it is not a bad deal at all.

Our contact in the US might start offering cabs for Europe soon and he might be able to get requested cabs as well. We will sort some things out in the next few days and I will get back to you!

Hey guys. Anybody out there with a set of vertical mouting brackets for a Nintendo cab?
I need to trun the screen from my Mario Bros.-project to make it vertical for DK 3.

Would be cool to find the parts in Europe.

Greetings!
Stefan

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / FS: Cheyenne (EXIDY)
« on: October 05, 2016, 10:23:26 AM »
Hey guys. For the first time I am selling one of my cabs. :D

It is a pretty nice Exidy Cheyenne and it is working. It is a little project though cause the gun is not attached and there are no keys. But this is pretty much everything left to. There is a piece of wood missing at the bottom right side but this is an easy fix as well.

I am asking for 700 Euros but I am also open for trades. Just let me know if you have something for me in your collection. :)

Hey guys!

Maybe you have seen this project not reaching is goal in the first campaign on Kickstarter. Well, they launched a new one and after less than 24 hours the have more than half of the money they need to make this book happen.

Since there are quite a few Atari-fans out there I wanted to let you know about it (if you did not see it on facebook by now anyway). :)

Jochen and myself will be in the book, too.

Arcade Lifestyle / Crazy Kong Savekit is ready
« on: June 02, 2016, 03:51:53 PM »
Hey guys. Jochen did it again (and again and again) and I hope it is okay if I keep you updated when we release a new savekit here and then.

This time it was for Crazy Kong. Jochen hates the game, the grafix and the sound... but there is a certain fanbase out there.

And Jochen would not be Jochen if he would not have done this to the kit:

I thought that some of the Atari-guys here would like that. :)

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB: Atari Assault PCB
« on: May 24, 2016, 01:01:44 PM »
Yeah... I think I am ready to start all over again. :)
I still have an Assault cab in my basement. I do have the board but it does not work and even good old Jochen is worried about brining it back to life. So my question is: Is there anybody out here with a spare Assault pcb? I know that there is one in the US on ebay at the moment but i would prefer to find one in Europe.

Any help welcome! :)

Arcade Lifestyle / Crazy Climber savekit is ready
« on: May 04, 2016, 02:01:32 PM »
Jochen did it again. This time it is Crazy Climber because we got a lot of requests for this from the US.

Jochen also made a little wobble-menu and included his music. :D

Arcade Lifestyle / Hey Utrecht-Guys... maybe this is interesting for you
« on: October 21, 2015, 01:11:41 PM »
A friend of mine just showed me a pic he made a few days ago in Utrecht. He told me that the machines are in that place for some time now... nothing happening for ages in that place.

If you are interested... I can give you at least the name of the street they are located. Maybe this might help you to lacate the person who owns them... and maybe there is more than meets the eye. ;)

Artwork / Tank Battalion Artwork anyone?
« on: October 17, 2015, 12:10:00 PM »
Hey guys!

I was wondering: Is the artwork for Tank Battalion available out there?
Seems like the machine needs a new bezel and a new CPO. Sidearts are fine.

ok... seems to be a plexi... both parts in one. hmmm....

Thx for the help!

Arcade Lifestyle / My basement featured in a music video
« on: June 17, 2015, 08:32:41 AM »
Hey guys!

A few month ago my good friend Andy asked me if he could shoot part of his new video in my arcade. Since the other location was New York it did not sound too bad.

We had a fun day downstairs and I met some great people involved in this project. I even made it in the highscore list. ;)

Here is the result:

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB: Nintendo shell
« on: April 23, 2015, 12:01:59 PM »
I teamed up with Jochen for this little sideproject. We are looking for one or two Nintendo upright shells.
They can be in rough condition. We will take care of that. Would be cool if not too many parts are missing though. :)

I know this is very optimistic but maybe you guys have some in your old warehouses. ;)

Arcade Lifestyle / Started with my DK 3 project today
« on: April 12, 2015, 03:26:03 PM »
Some of you may know that I got myself a Nintendo cabinet lately. I really want to make a nice Donkey Kong 3 machine so today I was trying to apply some vinyl samples to the little parts of the cab. I must say that I am pretty happy, not only with the result but also with the time that was saved by this.

The material seems to be good. You can see tiny bubbles on the black wood but those are gone now since you can simply wipe them away. I will practice on some other parts of the cab before putting the red vinyl on the sides... but for Nintendo-cabs this really seems the way to go since they are so flat and smooth. Impossible to achive this with paint... at least for me. And it would take ages.

Hey guys!

I was lucky enough to score anther Nintendo dedicated cab last week. It is a Mario Bros... but since I allready own one in a really good condition i am thinking about converting it to a Donkey Kong 3.
Of course I would need pretty much everything for it.

Marquee, Bezel, Sidearts, Control Panel, Board... so I was thinking that mabye someone here has parts that I could need.
If this is the case it would be amazing if you let me know about it.
I could get a board and a controlpanel in the us at the moment but i did not find the marquee and the bezel so far.

Would be great to hear from you!

Stefan

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB: 2 Player Fighting Game
« on: March 05, 2015, 10:32:58 AM »
Hey guys!

Two weeks ago I had a meeting with a local club owner. We talked about the possibility to bring arcade gaming back to the people. He is a huge fan of my machines and we agreed to do an event together in Trier in a few month.
My collection is a mostly cabs from the 80s and I feel the need to get at least one or two fighting games for this event.

So if somebody is selling something here... let me know. I am not looking for the gory stuff like MK. You can run into serious trouble in Germany when you display those games. I was thinking about stuff like Street Fighter or maybe Double Dragon.

Take care, guys!
