I sanded the metal as good as I could. Nice and shiny, really rusty spots gone. I don't want to paint this. It does not look brand new but it looks nice.

Cleaned the rest. Checked the fuse holders and fuses. I think I'll be replacing two fuse holders but don't have them right here now.

Of course there were some wrong fuse values. Don't have all correct values on hand so I'll have to replace them later on.

Of course, I removed the bad fuse holder that they already replaced and mounted the new one they used on the metal.

....and while we're at it.....

Oh....forgot to put one on F1 that it's 2A now instead of 4A.....will fix that.

Anyway, it is ready now for the smoke test.....

Thanks Etienne !

Let's do the smoke test !

OK, let's make some good (final !) use of that old power cable and plug....US plug so I use one of the el-cheapo adapters I have around....
On the other side I quickly crimped some pins. Needed also a bridge for the power switch connections (the red wire)......

DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME KIDS ;) ;) ;)

Quick and dirty, just for one-time testing :)

And happy happy me......ALL voltages check out perfectly !

Let's do the second "big blue" test, measure the AC ripple across the big cap:

0.002 Volts.....that's pretty incredible....
Yes.....this baby is just in PERFECT condition !!!

Now I have to dig up the filter and power boards !

Yep !

Harnesses. The top one is the "inter PCB connect" one. Still missing one connector. The bottom one is the "main" harness. There is a third one still in the cab, the "power" harness I guess.
