hi guys,
in order to fix a board (well, at least i hope so), i'm looking for capacitors like the ones shown in the picture. unfortunately, we've just recently ordered from bob roberts, so a different source would be appreciated (because ordering from BR isn't that easy). anyone got a direct link for me?

@andré: do you have one with free shipping? ;D

Yes Bob Roberts needs a shopping cart on his website.. (If he wants to pay me I'll hook him up).. :)
-
thx, but european-based shops would be a little bit better!
-
Here's one in your home country:
http://www.conrad.de/ce/de/product/446015/STANDARD-ELKO-AXIAL-85-10000-16V/0245811
I see on their main page they're offering free shipping right now. ;)
-

great, thx! is it important that the voltage is higher than on "the originals" (16V vs 10V) or can this be ignored?
-
A higher then original voltage is always allowed.
-
Those seem to be ordinary Elkos, right?
You should get them in any electronics shop, I got 10000uF/25V axial from Reichelt.
-
an electronics shop? the last time i went to our local electronics shop to buy ONE FUSE the asked almost 3 euros fit it - i had to pass :o.
reichelt seems to be pretty cheap, but those postage costs ... i hate it when you need parts for 3 euros altogether and you have to pay 6 bucks for postage!
ANDRÉ - where's my free shipping link? ;)
-
I can give you some of those on wednesday

Can you register with http://de.rs-online.com in any way ? If so (you probably need a chamber of commerce number) you're good to go !

I think the price at RS is quite cheap, but the shipping kill´s the deal....

i can - and i have. BUT: from what i've seen at first glance capacitors are very expensive there. almost 22 bucks for a bag of five
-
Don't get the Axial one's, that 'll save a lot of money. Get the radial one's They will usually fit.

Oh, and caps with capacities like that simply ARE not 20 cents each.....
-
Basically those two are in parallel, thus creating a cap of 20000 uF.
That's pretty close to this:
The one on the right sells for 12.50 from Bob Roberts. Each.
So, I actually think RS is pretty cheap....

i know, but the radial ones cost €1,71 a piece at reichelt - but they don't offer free shipping. nevertheless, ordering there is still cheaper than rs!

My friend, you sound like a Dutchman...... :?

Did you order online ?
Online ordering = free shipping. At least over here and in Germany too (I checked).
Stuff gets shipped from Germany (mostly) and UK (sometimes) and even the US with the TL tubes.....
Amazing IMHO.
Still have to thank Blanka for pointing me to them !
[Edit] Looks like the Danish are out of luck on free shipping for on-line orders....weird
