Technical Area / wg 27" gauntlet legends monitor help !
« on: October 22, 2011, 10:44:35 AM »
Hi all,

I have a gauntlet legends cab, the monitor just makes a ticking noise.  I measure the voltage at the bridge rectifier output at about 65v, and the B+ is on and off, ie its tripping....  any ideas what may cause this, or where the fault may lie approximately ?

thanks,

Technical Area / Powerdrift monitor ! - Sanwa 26"
« on: October 12, 2011, 01:29:07 PM »
Hey,

still trying to track down the elusive manual, but had a quick look today, lots of burnt places underneath and previous repairs, but......
so i look for the obvious.  AC in = 110v, checking the DC output of the bridge rectifier i get 65vdc, this doesnt look right to me ?

i dont really know a great deal about monitors, so excuse the silly questions, and of course i dont have a schematic which dont help !

thanks,

Technical Area / Atari Power Brick - Colour Vector
« on: September 18, 2011, 06:09:49 PM »
So my gravitar is almost up and running, the last problem is the 0v for the wg6100 monitor
the 2 outer connections are ok and read 50v ac, but the middle wire is nothing.  If i wiggle this around where it comes out of the transformer it comes on.
so my question:
in order to see where the "grey" wire goes i would need to cut the thick flat copper that is around the outside of the transformer.  Will this stop or change the way it works / doesnt work ?

anyone know ?

thanks,

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / Wtb: Atari colour vector power brick
« on: September 18, 2011, 12:33:51 PM »
Hey guys,

so i finally fixed my wg6100 monitor this morning, now the only thing left to make my gravitar live again is the faulty power brick.  There is (*i think*) a broken winding on the transformer.  The 0v is missing from the +/- 25v for the monitor.
Anyone suggest how to repair it, or have one they are willing to sell ?????

pplllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease..
