Looks similar to 4-bit microcontrollers in handheld games. D552 and D553 have similar characteristics but these 2 were meant for VFD display driving, and so depart from simpler 4-bit designs with lower type numbers.
Sure about 40 pins, not 42?
The E number is production date. 1980 game?

Hi You're right 42 pins. I got a little box from a friend of mine who got it from an Uncle who passed away.

This IC's where in the lot, do not know what they where for, just want to find out if a should keep them. I could not find any datasheet.

Furthermore there are capacitors in there with as a marking H 47. Any suggestions regarding these?

And diodes? With markings  HV10-12F SI8514 on one side and semicon HV25 12F on the other side in a housing that I have never seen before square, black, like 5watt resistor
