Nintendo Arcade Blue - UK
« on: February 14, 2011, 06:56:25 PM »
Has anyone in the UK got a genuine Nintendo cabinet... I need to get a paint code/match.

If anyone is restoring a cabinet and have taken the CP rests out (tends to be the best color and untouched). If I could borrow the panel to get a match I can return it.

Any help will be appreaciated.  ;D

Well, I plan to scan my Popeye (Blue Nintendo cab') soon... but it may won't help you if you plan to partially paint your cabinet... because our cabinets paint don't 'fade' at the same speed, and you may have a small difference between the brand new 'original blue color' and the one existing on your old cabinet... Nothing can beat a scan of your own cab!
..but maybe you've to paint the entire cabinet by the way?

Yes, he did a match but a scan would be even more exact. I still have to apply some paint to my DK so Bruno's paint scan would come in handy.
I tried to get a scan myself last week, but my piece of chipped wood was to small to scan and i don't want to cut a whole piece out like Ully did with his moon patrool. I have considered painting the whole cab like eric did but the damage on mine is really small and i'm a kind of lazy person with 2 left hands.

Indeed, it's a perfect match. If you want I could get another can and sent it to you. No probs.

or even if you have some spare paint left over.... paint a peice of wood like A5 paper size and then get it to match your cabinet... then jsut post that piece of wood over :)

that might work better with customs etc... than a tub of paint.
