...once wired up the pedals and steering and configured, I can expand on the fun by not just running Outrun but other great driving games too...

Did you wired the 'Shift Gear' by the way ?
There is a problem with Out Run Shit Gear & mame ... Regarding the hardware, it can only be 'Low' or 'High'... but mame doesn't work in that way  :-\ For Mame you can assign a button for 'change gear', but not for 'Low gear' pressed... What did ya do on your case ?

Hi Bruno!

Yeah,
The gear Shifter issue and Mame! Your right Mame expects two key presses for Hi and Low gear but there is only one micro switch in the gear stick, Well I just configured the same shift up for both Hi and LO, it means that you have two shift it up twice to move from Hi to Lo it works ok.

I know another chap who just installed another micro switch in his Outrun but Im fine with my set up and the other games work fine with too! is that how you have your Outrun Turbo set up??

Hello, this pcb has nothing to do with the sound on your cab  :ghost:
It is made to control the motor shaker when you drive and have an accident with the car. The motor will shake the driving wheel and shake the cab.
Same ones can be found in after burner cabs.
Most Outrun pcb have a suicide battery, that with time will take out the sound  i know it suck  :(

Nice work on the cab by BTW !!!!

Yeah you're right: this sucks big time. pcb's killing themselfes, I never did understood why, but I'm sure those big companies had some kind of dark reason why. Did they foresee us, the savers of the arcadegames? If they did, strange way of thanking their heroes... .
God must love crazy people, he made so many of them!!

Sorry it's been a long time, but I've been quite busy with work  :-\

Anyway, I have since found out that the Out Run logo sticker has been stuck over the top of the diagonal lines, but I've managed to produce this (looks good if I do say so myself)

Anyway let me know what you think.

Well, Amazing Dexter!!!

So many people are looking for this hard to find sticker!

I have taken a short movie showing the Outrun machine in full swing, check the link below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aAVMCHPGuw

I took this video in the portrait position, which I then flipped but when I uploaded the vid it went back to portrait again ) :

I'm very pleased with my machine!!!
