Pirate copy of some game of course, but I never knew they had modern jets during the landings at Normandy ;D ;D ;D ;D
(happen to have just visited Normandy during our holidays)

It is Commando Raid clone. ;)

Ah, never heard about that game, just checked it on Youtube. It has helicopters, which weren't invented either during WW2 ;)

But I said MODERN jet...like the one on the picture on the cartridge....(which interestingly seems to have no weapons of any kind at all ;D ;D ;D)
Yeah I knew about the Messerschmitt, I even built a model of it when I was young...
Didn't know about the helicopter though.
You forgot about this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horten_Ho_229
Thank god none of these flying vehicles ever played a serious role in the war (thanks to allied bombings mainly) and they _certainly_ didn't fly anywhere near Normandy around D-day.....in fact, there were only a couple of German planes at all there...

.....in fact, there were only a couple of German planes at all there...
I remember that great bit in the movie 'The Longest Day" :)

Yeah my son and I watched it on Blue-Ray before and after the holiday. It was fun to recognize some spots there when we watched the second time.
The film exaggerates about the Luftwaffe though, it gives the idea there were just two planes doing anything at all but according to what I learnt at one of the museums is that they did about 300 sorties on d-day. However, compared to the about 15000 (on one day !) of the allied forces it was still peanuts......
Another funny thing: I walked into one of the bunkers at Pointe du Hoc and was struck by an eary feeling that I recognized it exactly......it took me a couple of seconds to realize it was from playing Call of Duty 2 :):):)
