If there are no beeps, look at the LED on the ZPU board (that's the one on the top). Also check the battery (if still there) and esp. under it for any leaks of battery "acid".

Thats how my Berzerk look´s like when i switch it on, and the only thing that´s wrong with min is that it need´s new flat cables..

The stupid thing is that the Berzerk is already pretty special to find here in Europe, but the LL.....I mean........I might even want that more than a Q*bert ;)

Love it ! Ram controls has a lot of freshly repro-ed parts for the thruster !

http://www.ram-controls.com/order-ll.html

And do you know about the freshly repro-ed Berzerk CP that are almost finished ? You might be able to still jump in the Euro-group buy if Chris has any left....

In fact, it's a normal thing to see during boot-up. For a couple of seconds....still haven't replaced the flat cables Michael ? T-t-t-t-t ;D

Sure:

Well, I need to order some other stuff at Alternate anyway, let me know if you want me to buy one (or two) of these cables.
I could send them with the re-burned Eproms. Maybe it's a good idea to send the buttons and T-molding too. That way it's out of my gameroom ! ;)

Sorry, back on topic now !

argh, I've replace the berzerk (enormous, ouch !) pcb and now nothing on the screen, no light on the tube, just a Bzzzzzzzz.
Shit !

The special thing with this lunar lander is that the text on the cpo is in french, it's a scodimex one.

No problem, that can be corrected easily....

Oh-Ah-haha uhm yes very special ! ;D

So is it an Irish built machine or did scodimex build them ?

No I think scodimex didn't built it, I've ever heard about irish built but can you tell me how to recognize it ?
thanks

Send it over her and I will examine it closely and let you know as soon as I am sure about it  ;D ;D

Just kidding: _usually_ (but not always) a shiny (not black) coin door, but this is obviously an "owl-eyes" door.
Of course the most easy one is if there are factory plates/stickers on the back, they indicate the production country. Also: US plug ? UK plug ? How is the voltage set-up (110V or 230V) ?

Often there are color differences in the artwork but I really wouldn't know with LL. In fact, I'm not sure if they had already started production in Ireland by then...

Yep US built of course but as you can see by the specified voltage already meant for the European market, so it's very likely that it was exported to Europe right after production.

So, apparently Atari didn't produce machines in Ireland at that time...

Damn the ZPU board looks pretty bad....I can see the "acid" spread a lot already. This baby is going to need a white vinegar bath ! And soon !

Anyway, did you get any test-screens at all ?  How many flashes/beeps from the LED on the ZPU ?

The humming part is the transformer. It's normal for it to hum (a bit).
